Hadn't seen this before.
Very convincing (imo) video breakdown here of the Hesjedal 'incident':

And again, just to think about how ridiculous Alex Rasmussen's attempt at 'explaining' the incident was.
Is Alex that friggin stupid or, more likely, was it a shining example of motor omerta?

Hesjedal's thoughts about the motor rumors:
“It’s the stupidest thing. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of,” he said, shaking his head. “It’s not possible. It’s just not possible.”

Horner was fresher than the rest in la Vuelta, he published his bllod values, there is nothing to thiunk he was doper. he is very good in monoclimb very step.

There was a time where horner did very good ITT, there is a point to think he doped then, I am not sure, but in la Vuelta there is no reason.

Hesjedal is a very good riderm he howed this Giro he could have beenn podium without that bad hot day at the begining when astana surprised everybody.

He is an endurace rider, very good for 3 weeks.

To know how your bood values changes can help your rivals in the current cycling, I dont jknow exactly the way, I am not an expert, but I know that happens, I just could imagine why. Ask to a team.

Even if Nibali wasn't at his best Horner did very well for an old guy. If the beet juice he swears by is that good why didn't he distribute it ? Horner is a likeable guy and his interviews are always entertaining but likeable guys still dope. I think even other teams had their eyebrows raised by his Vuelta win because normally if you win a GT you are in demand for a new contract but Horner had all sorts of trouble finding a team and I don't think it was all about his age. What it clearly shows is that even people over 40 can win GTs in the 21st century and not test positive but don't think it will make it easier to find another job ! It says more about how easy it is to beat the doping controls but create so much doubt that other teams won't touch him. If he was 30 he would have received multiple offers from good teams. Over 40 you are not supposed to podium GTs let alone win one. Horner lost his chance for a big payday by winning too late in his career and it seems that the risks of signing him outweighed the benefits. Whether this is fair maybe not because he didn't do anything different to many others, the win just came too late for him. It was an entertaining race as most of the Vueltas have been in recent years. The mountain battle was great viewing no matter what fueled it.

Hesjedal's win in the Giro was more believable considering who he beat but his career after that didn't amount to much. Still Rodriguez should have won the race as he should have won the Vuelta.
