lol fail????
This was expected for evans, The flat prologue has never been great for him.
Wiggins wanted the stage.

Hell no  Of course he would like to win, but 2nd is even better for him here imo.

Sky will not have to protect yellow now and do less work.

People have always written Cuddles off. He was being written off every day of last year's tour, so let them have their Wigansfest. Bradley has a long way to ride, and history suggests that things never turn out the way people suggest on the first day anyway.

Congratulations to Cancellara!

Shack in Yellow, to work for Sky.

Wiggo will be chuffed enough with that ride.

Pleased with that - best Prologuer in the world win, brilliant ride from Brad - wanted him 2nd & about 5 seconds down ...

and most importantly 6 of the top 10 in my fantasy team & prediction including all of the top 3.

Neither does Cadel and he is within 10 seconds

How ANYONE thinks this an Epic fail is beyond me

what are you on about

Cadel is 9 seconds behind a so called Supream time trialer

you dont win the tour in the prolouge

Just caught up in the moment I guess...I definitely would have liked to see him do better though even if the time gaps themselves aren't great.

I never said he failed today;) He did well enough.

It's just sonic talks bull**** and wants to counter when someone talks bad about Evans

Team Radio Shack attack! Spartacus makes it look easy. To bad JB is not here or else he would have went a little faster.
Voeckler had a bad ride that is good because I would hate to see him in yellow also.
Sour face Menchov ahead of Cadel seems strange but it is only a prologue.

Oh please evans has never been great in a flat prologue.

First of all, I have to point out that once again, you change your tune after over hyping in the first place.

Second of all, I would have to agree that Evans certainly did not fail, not even in terms of today's stage.

At worst, I would say he was no more than 3 or 4 seconds off his highest potential finish.
All in all a pretty good start to his title defence.

Quite surprised by EBH's 5th place, he has hardly trained on his TT bike at all this year. He must be in pretty good form then.

Superride by EBH, never thought he would do so well. Must be a sign that he is in great shape. White after tomorrow?

Yeah, Evans expected to lose time to Menchov, and his own ****ty teammate.

Honest Guv, nothing to see here.

You do realize Menchov is one of the best time trial specialists among GC contenders?

As for Evans' ****ty team-mate, well I'll let time tell my story. ;)

Evans support group kicks in to action.

In the Dauphine, the irrelevant training race, Evans lost 4 seconds to Brad and beat Dennis by 9 seconds.

Maybe Evans was peaking for a training race, who knows.

But please, keep going with the rewriting of history and pretending this is a par performance for Cadel. He's better than this, and he will probably show it tomorrow, but it's sweet to watch you denying his ability.

Have to agree, no big surprises today except for those predicting a Wiggins failure. What were you thinking?

Compared to their TT ability, Evans has a much better pedigree in short efforts than Dennis. He was 20 seconds in front in 2010 (the tour where Dennis was good and Cadel was crap).

Impressed by Hesjedal, again. Good ride.

Wiggo? Hope he manages to lose somehow if there is actual racing to come. If not, I hope he wins in a manner so ridiculous and incredible that even the most staunchy nationalists cannot blindfold themselves.

Well, that only shows how much you'll have to fear Menchov in the coming 3 weeks. ;)
