Even the Wiggins fanboys on ES (harmon and kirby) plus kelly said it was a pretty good time by evans.

EBH 1 Sagan 0...

Also, Hitch was right about Cance showing his greatness again. Luckily Samu and Frank both need to gain a lot of time, so the fireworks will begin asap.

stop acting like he's lost the tour then...

Losing 9 seconds to no.1 rival and 4 behind his 2nd is not the end of the world and certainly not the end of the Tour de France

Yeah. Only 3 SKY riders beat him, could have been worse.

They are english speaking-riders fanboys.

Evans did just fine btw.

yeah, of course I would have wanted something better, but I have to be realistic.
Evans does better in longer TTs or ones with hills.

I overlooked Basso's performance...22 secs? That's quite a WIN in my book...

Again I stand by my prediction...Basso won't help Nibbles a bit if there's no shared interest.

Impressive ride by the Pope. Wonder what's his actual status of form.

Real fail? VDB2 + Gesink. Expected of course.

yeah it could have....but if someone said to me before the race, by the time the TT ends Cadel will be less than 10 seconds behind Wiggins, I would of taken it, and guess what I bet he would of too :)

Wouldn't worry Wiggins will get dropped like its nothing in the mountains. He couldn't stay with the leaders up the Mur de Bretagne last year so whats all the fuss about.

Usual stuff from the regs on this forum. Cadel got written off on a daily basis last year and the fact that he won the race means that any chance to jump on him, no matter how small, will be exploited to the hilt this year.

Keep the faith lads. Wiggo has got nothing. In the great British tradition he will crumble under the pressure.

It was a right call to go to the Nationals. Wearing your country's flag on your shoulders surely brings a little more power to your legs.

Is it late where you are - you seem tired and emotional.

I have repeatedly said we are discussing the prologue, not the tour.

It was a weaker than usual performance from Cadel, but he could easily be stronger than usual tomorrow.

I just dislike people trying to ignore reality and pretend it was up to expectations. After several weeks of hearing how the Dauphine is a joke race and Wiggins was peaking for it, I'm just amused to see Wiggins margin over Evans double since then.

Menchov and Wiggins were both 20 second behind him, so you might want to find a better example.

I agree. He limited his losses. Prologue counts for little, except a slight form guide for upcoming TTs.
