Although I do not share your sentiment, this might be my favorite post of all time!! :D:D

And the Star Wars reference in the title makes it even better!

Well done to you, good sir!

And Cesar Augustus held out a decree that all the world should be taxed. Except Cadel Evans

Hmm, not so much. If the reference had been "Help us Cadel..." THEN it would have been "well done."

I'll now retire to me mum's basement to dust my original Star Wars action figures (They're NOT dolls!), which are all in their original packaging.

+1 Though I loved the sentiment if you go nerd you have to be an accurate nerd :p

Ow and may the two-headed leopard eat the little Aussie alive (I don't actually dislike Cadel just want one of the Schleck's to win it)

I'd really like Evans to win, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy the vision of a full-grown man crying like a four-year-old who just bruised his knee.

I see Contador's knee as our only hope. I do not want to see a procession into Paris and I see Contador as the best bet for a fight instead of a Schleck victory. No offence to Cadel, but I think the last half of the tour is tough for him and will he be riding out of form while others are riding into form?

Although, Basso has been very quiet, staying safe, and hopefully getting into better shape. Come on Ivan, give us a battle.

Having said all that, I still want to see Andy win a close one.

I have shifted my opinion on Evans from negative (in the 2005-8 period) to neutral (late 2009-10) to slightly positive this year. Short of Gesink and Samuel Sanchez he'd be my favorite winner among the guys still present and with a (however distant) chance to win, and his chance is far greater than both those two put together. If memory serves he was pretty much the last guy I wanted to see win it 2007 through 2009.

ACF-syndrome I call it. It's infectious. :p

Oh noes. The earth is truly doomed if it has to relies on Cuddles.

But fret not.

There is one other.

Last time Cadel Evans tired to win a grand tour. There was one other.

Cadel is giving me hope. He's looking strong and he will beat Andy in the TT like the Schlecklet owes him money.

evans has always been good on hilly finishes but sucks for the past 2 years in real mountains, this year won't be a difference, mark my words

I find your continued faith in Samu the Asturian disturbing :p

Yes, as I recall from last year's tour, Schleck and Contador dropped him easily on the long climbs.

The cruel beast had slain many brave knights, who were all scattered across the French roads in bloody piles, but the brave Sir Cuddles would come to the rescue and behead the foul Schleck-hydra with his might TT-bike.

He´s talking about Basso. The winner of the greatest grand tour of all time, sort of.

?

Last time Evans tried to win a GT was last year's Tour, where Samuel (and plenty others) beat him. Samuel is still in this Tour, and Hitch never misses an opportunity to talk him up.
