Maybe he is rehearsing for the T&R commission, so he can kickstart his career with a clean slate.

Why couldn't CONI show real integrity and give Scarponi a lifetime ban? At this rate, anti-doping course will never succeed. :(

How would ignoring the rules currently in place be a sign of integrity?

I meant CONI had to show really serious intentions and ban Scarponi for the rest of his life. Any hint on a repeated violation should be seriously penalized. 3 month term is nothing. Scarponi will continue to dope as though nothing happened

Scarponi would appeal such a ban to CAS or any court of his choosing, and would win very easily.

The bans had to be short enough for the riders to accept without opposition.

Aggh Scarponi, how many bans will he serve. Not sure if Ballan has served more.

Yes, I know not official bans but if they can't race its still a ban in my book.

just when I thought Stuey was going to win the omerta of the year award, another contender emerges.

I don’t like having to talk about these things all the time. Clearly, from my point of view, it was extremely unfair because I only saw him once for a test. To say that I ‘frequented’ him is a bit much. I was given a suspension, I accepted it and basta. It ended there,” said Scarponi, who did little to hide his displeasure at revisiting the matter.

“You’re still asking these questions and it’s something from the past. I repeat: my story was blown out of proportion and I suffered the consequences. For this reason, I don’t even like talking about it. I saw him once, if that, and I paid for it with a three-month suspension. Enough. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”

"I saw him once, if that"

Gotta say, I like the angle CN takes these days. Sure its relentless, but it needs to be imo.

That's not even the best part. The most hilarious bit was when he was all "Why did I go to Ferrari at all? OK, lemme think of a way to get out of that one... Hmm... Err... I thought nothing would happen?"
