People start thinking that the problem with Andy is that he doesnt like descents or something.

The problem with Andy is that he claims that "everyone looks to us to attack in the tour" which is slander. The problem with the Schlecks is what they said to Sastre.
Its not about complaining. Cycling is a tough sport. ****ting on everyone else is whats wrong.

What did Andy say about Sastre, I didn't see the 2008 tour but have never seen Schleck say anything about it. Please do a quote

No, absolutely not. I don’t know what his problem was. He won the Tour and everyone watching it who knows a bit about cycling knows that we sacrificed ourselves for him. But he went to the press and said things that made no sense, like we didn’t want to work for him… We were 100 per cent behind, we worked for him. He’s got something wrong in his head!

If airstream is indeed a second account from another member I have to take my hat off. This person then put some serious effort into making up an elaborate back story for his character, worthy of a Zola novel. If it is indeed true and they come clean I hope they never publish my PM exchanges with them.

Hitch or someone else expressed their surprise at the difference of language between some of airstream's posts, and that sometimes there are long and rare words. I think it might not necessarily be a sign of it being a joke account. It might just be that he looked those words up because he didn't know how to express what he wanted to say in English and those are the ones that came up. Also sometimes in school we learn words that might seem peculiar to native English speakers because they don't use them anymore.

I have recently been developping my own theory. Look at all the people who are complaining about the La Florecita vs. airstream spats. Many of them have since left the forum. Do they just stop talking about cycling online? No, they go to another place. So we have to ask ourselves: who profits from the bashing? Maybe someone we know? Also, do we know someone who is an IT specialist and could easily circumvent sockpuppet filters and use fake IP adresses?

Does this description ring any bells? This person is likely the evil mastermind behind both the La Florecita and the airstream accounts.

Or did Hiczikovsky make it all up??

I haven't been keeping track but I assume some people who have been voicing their complaints in the bashing thread. Others too I suppose, often times it takes me a long time to realize the absence of even the most prolific posters. Of course the ads played a role in many people's decision as well but that's not to say that someone didn't put in some extra effort to push them over the edge....

About airstreams long sentences, i never said he made up who he was totaly, i just said he speaks english better than he makes out. Best lies are 90% truth.

DAOTEC is the guy who got banned then went onto his sockpupet account and posted the "you are banned" pm, seemingly unaware that this action would lifeban both the original DAOTEC account and his sockpuppet account.

No way DAOTEC is airstream. DAOTEC has his own unique style. Besides since airstream came here DAOTEC started a sockpuppet and was found out called coledeportes.

I was not refering to that specific example but speaking in general. As to this specific example I can also offer a possible explanation. People often have a better knowledge of the intellectual vocabulary in a foreign language then of the everyday vocabulary. Scientific, literary, etc. words are often very similar from one language to another, thus easy to remember. Plus if you are a student and you have to write essays and papers and so on that is the language you will use. And if you never speak it outside of class you will not learn the basic words for everyday objects, etc. I have made this experience twice and am about to make it again

I don't know about that. All those theories seem to be a bit far-fetched to me.
It is not uncommon for people to act differently on forums. But having two constantly discussing accounts? It's tempting to see a puppetmaster behind everything though. But without knowing the goal he/she might have (if he/she even exists) it is nearly impossible to detuct anything more from it.

You have to see it as writing a novel. In that novel there is this chessmaster who manipulates characters like pawns on a chessboard. You will soon find that this is nearly impossible to write from scratch. Instead you should start by establishing that character's goal. Then you try to come up with a very complicated way in which this character could achieve that goal.

Anyway, has anyone ever tried to see if they are ever online simultaenously?

I will be supporting Samu in July but I'll be mostly cheering against Cuddles Wiggo and Andy. Anyone but one of them. They are all arrogant and have all said bad things about Alberto.

I've never seen Evans as arrogant. Tightly wound and rather peculiar but not arrogant. I used to be his chief critic but he's softened me over the years to where I can appreciate his dedication to his craft and the sport.
