btw why would a rider abuse growth hormons? to become bigger and heavier? that is the least he would want to become as a cyclist.

Improved recovery times, better muscle to fat ratio, etc.

ps - nice pic

Do you mean did I see a certain someone inject just about an hour before a criterium when he knew there was no medical control , then pass the needle to another rider who injected the remainder into his backside direct through his shorts ( I'm not making this up!)...or later in the same year the same guy use a managers urine in a drinks can to pour in to the sample jar to avoid giving his own sample ...and that guy now works as DS for a well known TV broadcasting sponsored team ?.....or that bit of dodgyness was then sussed by the race organisation who,s response was to settle for said rider to pull out of the race and say no more about it.
I really couldn't possibly say ..;)
Enjoy reading your anecdotes and stories. Same with Colin Sturgess on the Lemond thread. Agree with the others. This is the time to tell the wider world and those in control.

I assume you're talking about injecting amphet. Why would they choose to inject over snorting it? Stronger effect, or longer lasting? And why IM over mainlining it.

Tbh I've no idea why ..I wasn't about to ask . My knowledge of doping practices was non existent at the time. I said nothing and was utterly disgusted that they,d do it front of me without asking if I minded . I wasn't actualy riding the race but had been asked to attend by the manager . I was so ****ed of about it I went for a walk rather than watch the race, a two bob mid week criterium that in my mind was meaningless.

Seriously? Someone injected something to help them win the race and you want to question why they injected vs snorting?

Wong end of the stick, buddy.

Many PEDs are snorted. It was common practice even in the 2000s.

Philippe Gaumont will tell you all.

To get leaner and bring body fat percentage down.

When he first began riding he was pudgy and very pale. See the metamorphosis completed by the time he's riding with Motorola.

That's what tons of miles and HgH will do for you. Some riders have commented on not liking how HgH makes them feel, but apparently it was just the ticket for Yates.

At the same time, Vande Velde's program relied mostly on HGH and testosterone while working with Ferrari.

The British Cycling Federation looks after its own guys very well. ;)

They most certainly do look after their own; the head's son has a cushy nondescript job at Sky.

Surely *this*Oliver Cookson could sponsor his own team. "On the 1st of June 2011 Oliver sold Myprotein wholly to The Hut Group for a reported £58m which was for a combined shares and cash consideration. He is now a major shareholder in “The Hut Group” and sits on the board as director."
