I've got so much respect for that guy. If you can win stages against guys like Valverde and Contador in PV, and even finish solo in such a stage, you are a true beast!

Swift again or no longer a sprinter?

Ruffoni/Colbrelli, Swift, Chicchi, Belletti, M.Gavazzi, Molano,Clausen. Guess Bole, F.Gavazzi, Ponzi and Colli will be around the top ten too

He gets a bit of stick because he's the British Rojas in terms of sprinting. Needs a very select group and hard finish to win.

What a time gaps! Pelizotti and Meintjes on 1 minute!
yep, this stage was raced brutally.
Many riders at +20 minutes and a large group of DNFs.

Yes, and that photo of Swift shows the weather was pretty terrible too. Sky down to 5 riders. Not easy for the final stage although 3 of them are Henao, Deignan and Siutsou.

We really needed video of this stage. Who can tell if Swift is now moving away from sprints after years of banging his head against the wall.

I saw the first part of the the recap on Raisport 2 and he already attacked once on a descent and waited for the other riders, the weather was brutal.

Great win, when it's raced hard and the weather is miserable then Swift certainly is a big asset. Some brutal time gaps today and he caps off a nice day for the team.

Bongiorno (Bardiani) it's overall favorite now

I hope so, he's one of my favourite riders. Bardiani had a *** start this season too.

I was fearing from the profile that maybe Swift could hang on but I mapped it on Strava and no way he survives.

(opening circuits are missed out so 10km missing)

Man, Kvasina and Bongiorno did every single turn in that attack until Swift attacked just outside the final km

Swift is in top form because MSR was his season goal

Depends how the stage is raced, if they wait for the finale to drop him they wont be able to take back to much time

Nearly seven minutes of highlights here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBN9G1Vi4ek

Clearly doesn't take too many wet descending lessons from Thomas or Porte.

Looks like Froome,Porte and G. found their teacher, they should pay him high to show them how to descend,it could prove useful in the future races :)

Froome isn't a bad descender, just not as good as Valverde, Contador, Nibali ect.

If Swift will be dropped,Sky still can use Sioutsou for GC battle,he's still kinda close in GC.

There is room for improvement,he should learn from master Swift :D
