Yep, you got the believer part right. I actually allow facts to influence my opinion. There's an old saying that goes something like "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." You might well consider that in your future psost.

Good to see you've finally got that irony thing mastered.
I'll get back to you just as soon as I figure out what a "psost" is.

Ah, I recognize that one. Someone tweeted it to Bruyneel last year to apply to Contador. Bruyneel replied that it was good, and asked if he could use it. Fanboys retweeted it as if JB was a genius.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Well it's a shame we can't, because it's probably the truth.

At any rate, he was too highly placed in the GC and therefore had to suck on too much wind to do anything even if he wasn't injured.

I'd say Sky's Tour was OK. I don't care how many people bought the hype.

I think the real truth is that he didn't recover from his efforts at the Giro. Same with Basso and Wiggins. We saw the same with Menchov last year.

My Goodness Moose, you are great at taking light year jumps in the assumptions you make. Rein yourself in man before you take off.

The real failures in terms of team in this Tour were Sky and Liquigas. No wins and neither really even fired a shot. At last RS had a stage win.

Cadel's capitulation in the TT today was also disappointing. I thought/hoped he would put in a big performance but he was pathetic and didn't even try. You can't tell me a cracked bone in his elbow was the cause of that.

In a TT doesn't your weight partially rest on your elbows???? I'd imagine that is pretty painful with a cracked bone in one's elbow.

Why, you obviously didn't.

Sure beats getting a watch and a large pile of cash since the prize money are by tradition distributed among the team.
You seem to have missed something, don't worry though, I helped you out.

You know an interesting way to judge the success or failure of teams at the Tour - or any race - is to see the prize money tallies. It is PRO cycling after all, and for the riders it is about making money.

I remember (when I was in France) they would publish the team's prize earnings in the paper... I'm not sure if they still do that? It would be neat to see from this Tour, and compare it to the 'all important' Team Classification.

A stage win, Team GC (which does give money) and 10th overall isn't a bad tour. But given the expectations its a poor Tour for RSH.

I wouldn't be surprised if Saxo comes out on top in earnings.

I am looking forward to the complete USPS team together in front of certain officials, now there was a team!

They'll be getting shiny bracelets too!

And a special room!

:D

Keep setting them up UniballPolisher and we'll keep knocking them down. Thanks;)

They should have been yanked from the race for wearing unapproved shorts. The race officials made an exception for them by not making them change their bibs too.

How exactly will the complete USPS team get thrown in jail?(assuming that is what you are implying)
The people who signed the checks and were in control of the money would be the ones go to jail.

The money classification shows a more realistic view

1. Astana 488.886
2. Saxo Bank 292.392
3. Rabobank 192.978
4. Caisse d'Epargne 114.604
5. Euskaltel 94.746
6. RadioShack 92.018
7. Omega Pharma 90.424
8. HTC-Columbia 88.988
9. Lampre 81.796
10. Quick-Step 78.085
11. BBox Bouygues 76.074
12. Garmin-Transitions 55.352
13. AG2R 47.776
14. Cervélo 39.542
15. Katoesja 38.966
16. Sky 36.992
17. Liquigas 33.096

19. FDJ 25.922
20. Cofidis 20.372
21. BMC 15.872
22. Footon 13.492

Seems like the all important team classification is not very rewarding in money :p POOR return on investment

The Team Classification is about HONOR - not money ptfff.

If a rider wants BIG bucks, they will get themselves sponsorship deals with Nissan, Michelob, Nike, and Radioshack.

Keep finding a new way to bluff yourself out of it. It's amusing for all the rest of us
You said a page or two ago that the winning of the team classification would earn them big bucks. I showed you the opposite. :)

hes right winning team classification is honour

but for RS its dissapointing, they were aiming for higher achievements, but that doesnt degrade team classification itself as something you should regret or not goin after if you have a chance
