Keep finding a new way to bluff yourself out of it. It's amusing for all the rest of us
You said a page or two ago that the winning of the team classification would earn them big bucks. I showed you the opposite. :)

My point was Big Bucks compared to the Green or Polka Dot jerseys.

You are right though, small potatoes compared to Lance's sponsorship money or the GNP of small nation states.

That's my favorite avatar BTW.

The team award money works out to less then 10000 per rider. Over three weeks, 20 stages, less then 500 per day.

You'll need to subtract the 6300€ fine for wearing the "28" jersey's today.

28 means 28 million which is the amount in dollars Armatrong has made from Livestrong.com

Seems closer to the truth.

With a world population of 7 billion, 28 million works out to less than one half of one percent (.4%).

Seems awful low, unless the rest who have it just aren't "aware"...

How do you all seeing the rest of the Shack's season panning out?
There is over a third of the season to go, but they are already out of goals.
They said they only had 2 and appear to have missed both, by a long way.

Where do they race, when the Vuelta takes centre stage?

Polish doesn't really believe any of this stuff.

He's just likes being reality's punching bag.

Still, winning the team classification is nice. Not anywhere close to what their goals were, but at least they got something.

It's crap. Don't go for the marketing. If they want to make the team GC mean something, then tie it to the overall GC somehow with bonus times or something. Otherwise, how can it be important when most teams don't give a damn about it?

It gave them the stage to sell the #28 jersey and program. It has to be the most shockingly sh*tty money grab Armstrong's come up with to date! That anyone else (Vs, the commentators) went along with this marketing charade makes it worse.

How about adding the places of the top 3 on each team - low score wins. Tie-breaker: finish of 4th rider on each team.

They race the two one-day races in Canada, maybe the Tour of Britain (pfft) - Lequatre won it overall a couple of years ago. The Coppa Placci, Giro della Romagna, Giro del Lazio and Paris-Bruxelles. And the Memorial Marco Pantani.

Not many other choices now that Missouri's been cancelled.
