Not bad, but I'd go for a fully restored 1958 Porsche Speedster.

And I still think your obsessive hatred of LA is fascinating and amusing.....

And your opinion of my "hatred" is so important to me that....hey look, a belly button lint!

So if LA, LL, Kloden, and Radioshack are off the juice, does that mean that Contador, Schleck, Menchov, Sanchez ect.... are on the juice?

You do the math, but I would think that they had less fear about recovery enhancement than did Radio Shack, however; if Ryder is finishing 4th on the Tourmalet, I would suggest that means the Tour is probably a little bit cleaner, and therefore, on a more equal footing. 38 year old guys who took a few years off should not be able to finish 3rd on the podium under clean or relatively clean circumstances. And this year, they didn't.

LOL! I didn't say what you think of me is fascinating and amusing, I said what you think of LA is fascinating and amusing.

Of course, what would you expect from someone who goes for old British sports cars? (know why the English drink warm beer? Because Lucas makes their refrigerators. Yuk yuk yuk, that's an old one....)

Its a funny freaking joke until its 2am and you are on some back country road (in the days before cell phones) and the entire electrical system just quits...everything. No juice. It is double not funny when you then walk the 11 miles home and sleep for a little bit and return to the car with a tow strap and a truck and guess freaking what? The fu*king thing starts right up. HA HA, very funny motherfu*ker!:)

To shift gears again. Anyone care to speculate what will happen with the team in 2011? ....

Horner, Bottle and Janez B should be able to find spots as domestiques for the new Canadian ProTour team being built around Ryder Hesydal.

I hear the Canadians are planning to produce a Tour winner by 2036.

That could mean the team would dissolve. I'm suggesting they stick together, if possible.

I'm going to try to clarify two points I was trying to make before: First, I think this year would have to be considered disappointing at best, and a failure at worst for RS. They didn't to win the TOC, and won't even podium the Tour, maybe only get one climbing domestique in the top 10. Their year will essentially end after this race for the most part, as they won't have a presence at the Vuelta or rider for the fall classics. That doesn't mean they stink or suck or are evil, I hate them, etc, it's just the facts of a tough season for them.

Next, what they could do for 2011 is drop to UCI Continental status and focus almost their entire season on racing in North America. Similar to Rock Racing, yes. And use their names, and sponsorship to help promote races such as those I listed, on this side of the pond to help continue the growth of the sport, especially in the face of pending lawsuits and doping investigations. I think it would be a good way for Lance, Levi, Chris and a few others to fade into retirement. And I don't think making such a suggestion is insulting in the slightest. If you look at their age, and their season, to somehow think that next year they will seriously contend in races such as the Tour or Giro in my opinion would be unrealistic. To me it would be much more interesting, and noble, to contend for GC at races like the ToC, Gila, Cascade, and help get Georgia, Missouri back, and get the new Coors' Classic launched like Lance dreams of, than to finish 30th, or 50th at a GT in Europe.

Blah, blah, blah...

THEY'RE LEADING THE TEAM CLASSIFICATION!!!!!

Which is why those of us who are not into self-flagellation prefer old German sportscars.

I actually think Steegmans will ride at the flatter fall classics and put forward some reasonable results. Horner should ride the hilly ones and get a top 10 somewhere (he was 8th in Liege this year, 10th in Amstel Gold, and 12th in Lombardia last year coming back from injury... 7th in Lombardia in 2008). Brajkovic was 2nd in Lombardia in 2008.

None of those results will mean much, but they won't be totally invisible the rest of the year... just mostly invisible.

I have had my day with German sports cars as well. I love them. However, some people (I call them wussies) prefer things that always work. Then there are those of us with enough refinement to know that your relationship with a British sports car is the best practice in the world for being married...:D

Geriatric Shack fought hard to win the TT on stage 19. Their best placed was Muravyev 4 min 38 sec down. The placings were 19, 31, 41, 67, 69 (Armstrong), 70, 97, 90, 117. I think the Geriatric Shack is in dire needs for new blood. :p

I will specifically belittle them. They suck. Johan Buryneel is considered a "genius" because he hitched his wagon to a junkie doping freak who defrauded millions of cycling fans as well as people with cancer. This year is proof that when you go off the junk, you can't hack it anymore. To make things even worse, the short bald guy who seems always to be considered a contender, but never seems to actually win anything important...oh sorry, when he races in Georgia or California, he seems to be able to beat up on the local pros:rolleyes:...sh!t the bed this year almost as badly as his Uniballed master. He should never have been talked about above the level of bottle carrier, which is really all he is good for, and should be laughed out of the race for having a team that saw what a wet noodle he is, and refused to do anything but ride behind him and wait for The Uniballer to fall off so they could pace him up the mountain for 64th place. Radio Shack spent a fortune on funding a team of has-beens who proved that once you put them under the microscope and shut off their ability to dope, they suck wind and have to rely on twitter and brown nosed press coverage to make the news.

Want more?

Yes, please. And this time how about using FACTS instead of the woefully outdated, unsubstantiated, tired old "he/they doped" crap that you vomit spewing bigots still cling to after 11 years.

Will the Shack Survive??

Comment of the day. Chapeau!

I would like to know what the ramifications of the team's poor showing are, because the sponsor certainly can't be pleased.

Perhaps someone in the pro ranks can comment, but I would have to guess that they didn't meet some sort of contractual PERFORMANCE CLAUSE, and so have lost out on a sum of sponsorship monies. This probably became clear early on and so they didn't choose to force the issue.

And then, we're not hearing much about the ongoing investigation, presumably because those members of the former teams US Postal and Discovery are out of the country. It's been frequently commented that the prospect of having to be interviewed by investigators must weigh heavily on LA, LL, CH, & DZ...

Probably. That way it'll be easy to take them down when the ASO strips him of all his "victories."

Maybe they'll get mailed to Novitzky so he can put them on his trophy wall, right next to Lance's a$$.

My Goodness Moose, you are great at taking light year jumps in the assumptions you make. Rein yourself in man before you take off.

The real failures in terms of team in this Tour were Sky and Liquigas. No wins and neither really even fired a shot. At last RS had a stage win.

Cadel's capitulation in the TT today was also disappointing. I thought/hoped he would put in a big performance but he was pathetic and didn't even try. You can't tell me a cracked bone in his elbow was the cause of that.

Well it's a shame we can't, because it's probably the truth.

At any rate, he was too highly placed in the GC and therefore had to suck on too much wind to do anything even if he wasn't injured.

I'd say Sky's Tour was OK. I don't care how many people bought the hype.

What, no more deluded drivel?
Yep, you got the believer part right. I actually allow facts to influence my opinion. There's an old saying that goes something like "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt." You might well consider that in your future posts.
