Hey TFF, how's that predection that LA was going to drop out coming along? ;)

I don't ever remember making it, but if I did, I was wrong. How's that fanboy stupidity thinking he would contend for the yellow jersey coming along?

Dunno, I never said it. In fact I've said I thought it unlikely he'd podium but had a chance at the top 10. I also said he was well past his prime and had potential to totally blow up, which he did. OTOH, he's come back to show some grit also. So bottom line IMO: Not great, but not an embarrassment either. I think if not for that first bad stage and the crashes early, he would have stayed motivated and maybe been in the top ten. But that's not what happened; contenders for Yellow don't beat them selves up with repeated crashes, have multiple bad days, or significant mechanicals. LA has had all those things this race. combine all those things with the fact that he's well past his prime, I think he's done OK.

Of course I'm sure you don't feel that way and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You'll just have to wait for your wet dream of the total humiliation of LA.

To shift gears again. Anyone care to speculate what will happen with the team in 2011? Lance, Levi, Klodi and Horner are all past the point where most riders retire.

I'd like to see them racing stateside next year and helping promote local races like the Cascade Classic, Gila, Nevada City Classic, Tour of Georgia (!?), Tour of Missouri (?!?), new Coors' Classic (!?!?!!).

I honestly have to laugh out loud at what should be called the "Let's hate Lance" forum. After 11 years, you bigoted, smalled minded, petty losers still persist in your same old tired "he cheated" mantra. And you call me gullible. LMAO!
I trust you've all sent your "proof" to the UCI or the reporters at that rag, L'equipe. If not, why not? PLEASE answer that question!
So tell me, since Lance is gone after this year, who should we all hate next? I'm guessing Contador. He's won , after Sunday, 6 GTs, 5 of them under Johann. He has to be doping, right?

Cadel Evans for being the whiny crying pussy that he is.
Contador and AS for turning the peloton into Gay Pride Parade.

Oh, if you want to bash a team , how about SKY? The only thing they've done of note was to self destruct on stage 8. But they did get Lance out of the GC race when they attacked so I guess they deserve some credit.

Well, that confirms what I've suspected since I came here. Even the moderators want to bash Lance and any team he's associated with. I'm reminded of the phrase "lunatics running the asylum."

Ummm... I think I can start hateing the silly 3 weeks fans than cry for sportmanship at every incident during the race. What the hell do they want to see? A race or a parade of skinny guys in spandex?

I have no clue what so ever why you would think the post I made was to "bash Lance". From your tone it's quite apparent that your mind was made up long before you read what I, and probably anyone else, has to say about the man.

Nope, it wasn't. When you suggested they race stateside in what appear as minor races, I jumped to what was, apparently an erroneous conclusion. My apology.

I think they will all - except one- retire at the end of this season. The only one I see continuing to race in the States is Horner, maybe with an outfit like Unitedhealthcare.

eta: can something be done about the troll who's back with multiple aliases and talking to himself?

Once Lance is gone, all you RadioShack fans are going to go back to eating Cheese Doodles and beating your meat to the 2001 Alpe d'Huez stage.

Admit it. :)

Nope wrong stage. Its Luz Ardiden 2003.;), That stage topped Alpe d Huez 2001.
