loosely translated, Sky, garmin and astana you amatuers. See who has the last laugh.

It's more 'very well, amateurs of Sky, Garmin and Astana. The last to laugh laughs strongest'.

I don't know if that's meant to be a threat that you shouldn't write Radioshack off so easily, or what.

Well, it won't be Sergio, that's for sure.
He'll be wearing a cardboard box strip, this time, next year.

Lance has his own, personal monsoon season going at the moment.;)

Seems like he just badmouthed his three potential employers. With two of them being the most rich teams of the peloton.

And here i thought Sergio would be a fine rider to pick for Astana after the Shack will eventually implode by August.

I'm pretty sure Paulinho will be welcomed by whatever team Contador rides for.

Many were suprised he went to Radioshack and left Contador this year. He probably won't make as much though.

I almost felt bad for armstrong and the fanboys watching that bloodbath yesterday...I mean, they didnt even use lube...reminded me from when I was a kid and watching Ali doing his comebacks and getting beaten up by nobodies...same sorta of humiliation via the number of lesser guys rolling across the line before him...be interesting to see how Roll and Phil et all deal as he continues to embarass himself in the upcoming real mountain stages...

Calling Astana, therefore Contador, amateur, is not the best way to go about keeping ones options open.
Frankly, I'm at a lost to understand what he is on about.
Amateurs, because ultimately their team leaders lost some time?
What did Garmin do?
Were they suppose to soft tap all the way to the Avoriaz summit, because Lance had a fall 50kms out?
He was back in the lead group and therefore fair game.
Lance himself, hasn't spouted any such rubbish.

The slaves seem more upset than their master. Very odd indeed.

Maybe he's referring to Bruyneel's excellent rest-day refills, compared to which all the other pro team programs are strictly amateur. We'll see who is flying tomorrow!

I actually didn't mind Phil yesterday. he's a classic frontrunner. the second you are out of the running you go from Second Coming to Lance who? He actually made a lot more sense in one day then he Bob and Paul have in the last 5 years.

The other guys rolling away from him at the line was just truly Ali-esque.

'You were the greatest, Champ ! Now kiss our @sses and pass the mashed potatoes.'

They wouldn't even give him the courtesy of a reacharound while they rode him on their pogo sticks.

I did feel sorry for a little while. I have little doubt that sentiment will last for long.

I will allow for some sort of lost-in-translation-clarification before turning on him. Was he NOT touted as AC's sole ally last year???:confused:

He can't possibly be that dumb. Maybe he left his twitter account signed on and JB got into it while he was getting his refill?

I think that there's been confirmation from people who actually speak Portuguese that he did indeed say what it sound like. It is really weird though.

I went into this race hating on Lance hoping for all that has happened to him. But somehow I have more respect for him now than before

Ha. Me too. What I really wanted was for him to get beaten like a dog in the mountains with no excuse to fall back on. These crashes and punctures are not what I wanted at all. And I have respect for his efforts to chase back to the leaders after these events. But in years to come I'll remember all the crappy things he's done to people over the years and I'll play that "chute" video with a smile on my face.

I let out some kind of weird laugh that I'd never heard before when I saw them all sitting up. Would've been cool if Voeckler sprinted out in front of them.

In a cruel way I was thinking something similar. LA's prospects are past so I'll let that go and I wanted to respond because your Avatar has been my favorite since ChrisE left.

A nondescript Shack servant spouting off and slagging Astana, Sky ,Garmin basically.

Paulinho is an idiot.

The biggest idiot is LA. He had a legacy that was huge, larger than life and in the end, a lot bigger than he could comprehend. So lacking was his comprehension that he dared disrespect his legacy. And so he got carried away with his own re-invention. He stooped beneath his legend, and ignorantly taunted those who dared stand up to his fantasy. When a legend comes off an undefeated journey, such as his 7 year run in France. He does not come back to place third or even second. No place but the top step of the podium should suffice, and if you ask him in a couple of years I'm sure he will admit this. But I think he has been very shortsighted in this endeavor, and too many empowered him on this effort.
Now we will read about the unhappy ending of his career, along with the Legendary parts. How he came down from the mountain, and allowed us to see his mortality, his vanity, and the various other flaws that were previously unthinkable. Along the way back to earth he brought all his fans and teammates. But in the end, it was all their decisions to follow the pied piper. To believe he still had what it took to gain the highest peaks. But like Icarus, he went too close to the sun, he ignored all warnings, and his wings have melted, and he has plummeted out of the sky. If it weren't for his arrogance I would not feel so detached. But like many other fans, who've lost interest in him, I'm glad it's over. Too bad it's ending with the crash landing none of us ever expected.

Wow you must really have a spot in your heart for Lance to write such a thoughtful piece about him. It brought tears to my heart.

A bit of old news, but i got a few laughs from it:

http://astana.lu/news_x.php?ID_news=98

The jury had choosen to award the team because it had been distinguished by the sportsmanship of its leader, Alberto Contador. In fact the day before, few minutes before departure in Epernay, he had visited his former teammates now at Radioshack to offer them a watch in recognition for their work in the Tour de France 2009's victory.

"Bonne humeur" is right.

I laughed too when i knew that Lance hid in his bus when Alberto personally came to give him his watch he couldn't pick up from last year's victory party that he decided to pass in favour to meeting with his sponsors.

RadioShack bragged the whole season that they had the best team and laughed at Astana. They're the biggest failures known to cycling.

One of those is racing with a broken arm. Hint: he's not on Radioshack. Hint 2: He also raced the Giro.
