ACF94...quick update as we approach the finish of the 2010 TdF:

General classifiation after stage 17 # Rider Name (Country) Team Result

10 Christopher Horner (USA) Team Radioshack 0:10:37
13 Levi Leipheimer (USA) Team Radioshack 0:14:24
14 Andreas Klöden (Ger) Team Radioshack 0:14:44
23 Lance Armstrong (USA) Team Radioshack 0:37:58
26 Cadel Evans (Aus) BMC Racing Team 0:45:13

Can you agree with me that Cadel AND Team RadioShack are NOT failures?:)

Shirley you jest. They came in all balls up talking about how The Uniballer was in better shape than last year and how he was going to challenge and how they were all riding for him and blah, blah, blah. The team competition is for the first group of losers who had nobody to wear themselves out for in the GT battle. Real teams don't compete because they are too busy setting the pace that loser teams like Radio Shack are trying not to get dropped by.

Yes, I called you Shirley.

Not even amateur teams worry about this. You race to win and thanks for beating me to calling someone Shirley.

Shack were out there puffing their chest out telling everyone "Hey man...this team competition is OURS!!!" and everyone else were like "...okay man....go for it I guess ???"

Dudes, Radioshack got owned by Ryder Hesjedal

For crying out loud. Hesjedal! And Even Kreuziger who rode a **** tour for most part of it finishes ahead the first Shack guy (who got 6 minutes bonus in a break).

Next year, make Brajkovic peak at the right time and make him the sole leader.

RadioShack bragged the whole season that they had the best team and laughed at Astana. They're the biggest failures known to cycling.

They DO have the BEST TEAM at the TdF....

True Musketeer Status.

All for One and One for All.

Lance & Janez & Chris & Klodi & Levi & Dmitriy & Sergio & Yaroslav & Grégory

ALL on the PODIUM in Paris.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Considering also they hyped a GC finish of:
1st Armstrong
2nd Contador
3rd Levi
4th Schleck
Kloden in there somewhere...
Horner as a committed domestique...

That's as much a failure of planning as you could get. Phil Liggett actually blurted out that "Lance surely would have made the podium without those crashes" or similar drivel. Will Phil have a job after this season? I never thought about the residual benefit of this team's meltdown.

The Team Competition is the Tour's version of the Special Olympics tradition of giving everyone a medal.

And I don't know how well Special Lance will share a step on the podium. That's new for him.

Now we can say finally that we wipe LA's and JB's eyes - and it's really delightful :)

No, I like Horner, I was fan of Klodi from the spring of 2000, I like JB-Jr and Popo is one of our best friends. And of course that Dima is our compatriot, even he is upset to find himself on opposite side in Ast. vs RS holy war. And I can't say that I hate JB or LA, even if a lot of young Kazakh boys want to hate them.

But we had a mission to approve that our team is THE TEAM and this time this mission is really accomplished. I'm just happy. And maybe this happiness just became absolutely perfect because the Radioshack fail dismally

And this thread and its haters are the internet cycling forums equivalent to a bunch of flunkies that wouldn't have the mental capabilities to qualify for the Special Olympics.

Shack on the podium - win. The title to this thread in relation to reality - dismal failure(as usual).

Shame all this wonderful entertainment is coming to an end. I'm going to miss this circus when its gone.

Horner, top Shacker, 10th.
If someone had predicted this before the Tour, the fanboys would have been queueing up to give him their traditional, scathing:rolleyes: "hater" chant.

A disastrous Tour, given their collective reputations.

He'll ask Hinault to push everyone of the podium except him.

No, its a joke, and so are those touting it as some sort of accomplishment, especially considering the line coming from the team and fanboys before the Tour. It and you (and Belokki) are a joke, a sad, sad joke.

Its a strange competition the team classification. Certainly not the best team. I'd say that goes to BBox or Quick Step. However if you're going for stage wins your not going to win the team prize. Once caught in a breakaway the riders involved tend to drop right off the pace. The team comp is for midpack mediocrity. Its the team who the least day in day out...

Ligget actually said LA would of contended for a podium spot without the bad luck and crashes.
