Apparently he had a hunger knock yesterday. I can't quite see how a professional rider can get a hunger knock on a mostly flat stage ridden at a very poor speed until the final climb but there you go...

Henao actually dropped him when he took his turn after EBH had done his. There was a slight uphill, Henao was feeling good and EBH couldn't get back on. Probably the team and especially Henao had to work extra hard to compensate after that, and that might have had an effect for the next stage.

Then there is also the factor of having a mountain finish so early in the race. Apparently some have more problems with that than others. Uran was just about able to stay in the first group, so he was tired too.

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Though I never expected him to get more than max top 5, so my expectations might be a bit lower than what others are expecting of him. He is still young and has a lot to learn.

And IMHO Uran is currently better, though I think Henaos long term potential is higher.

Anyway, this could set the stage for a long distance Henao attack while everyone watches Uran. Kind of like the Uran/Wiggo combo in the Giro.

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote.:)

Let's hope that he recovers. The important thing is how he finishes the race.

It doesn't matter if it's stage 50, or stage 2. If you forget to eat enough, you'll be ****.

Henao i think will be super domestique category. He had his chances in Giro 2012,2013 & Vuelta 2012. He cannot follow the leaders. I think he is more week long or one day racer. Uran on the other hand is much better. Sky did a mistake in letting him go.

He didn't have a free role in any of GT's you mentioned. He worked for Uran on Stelvio for example. Once Uran leave, Heano will be undisputed leader for Ardennes and it's perfect for him. As for GT he still have time to learn and improve. Let's wait till the end of Vuelta, he may still surprise us.

Also this year he was the undisputed leader in Ardennes.Next year probably he will be in TdF to work for Froome and then he will try again in Vuelta.

So according to you people- Henao - The designated leader of the team, forgot to eat, hit the wall- No team mates seen around to aid him -but Uran was allowed to kept going????

Not what Porte "believed it took place" from the other side of the Atlantic, for fvcks sake!!

In the early days Uran was worse than Henao. Check his palmares. I was already counting him off until he broke through in the 2012 Giro. How do you explain that??

Counting him off? I'm surprised to hear you say that. His palmares was certainly not bad and I disagree that it was inferior to Henao's. I like both riders but I have to admit a preference for Uran. I think that Uran is better suited to GTs and that Henao may ultimately have a better one-day palmares.
