Good morning guys. Today is the second stage of the Tour de France. 210 kilometres between Bruselles - Brugge and Bruselles with a circuit in the final part. There are not mountain passes so will be a day for the best sprinters of the peloton.
The peloton will leave Bruselles in direction to Antwerp for confront a coast route until the arrival in Brugge and then the riders will leave the city in direction to Brusseles where's waiting for them a final circuit in the end of the stage.
A dangerous day in which the echelons could be a key aspect. The GC guys must be careful and protected by their teams.

"The TDF in Belgium has been a huge success. The crowds in the streets, people supporting the riders... I 'm sensitive to the fact that society is changing faster and faster. We’re in a civilization of “zapping,” a universal culture, you have to adapt to it. And the strength of the Tour de France, I think, is that it has always done just that. And that's why we are here in Bruselles."

Asked by the favourites for win the race...
"I think there are many champions in the road on this edition. Tejay Van Garderen has done podium twice. Talansky is the best 1 week Tour rider of the peloton. The colombians Quintana and Chaves are great climbers... But my bet is, of course, on Thibaut Pinot. IMO he'll be the next french rider for win the TDF since Laurent Fignon. He was so close the last edition finishing 2° after a great battle against Contador. The route benefits complete riders but i think Thibaut has this Tour on his legs"

The first breakway of the TDF is 3' ahead of the peloton and is composed by Anthony Delaplace (Saur) Dennis Van Winden (Blanco Pro Cycling) Manuele Boaro (TSB) Edvald Boasson Hagen and ¡¡Richie Porte!! Both of Sky. This is an interesting movement of the british team which has arrived at Belgium with Joseph Dombrowski and Sergio Henao for aim the GC. It's a nonsense. THIS IS A FLAT STAGE and Porte is trying to take time since the second day. This guy is crazy.
110 kms left. In the bunch Orica is pacing their leader, yellow jersey Luke Durbridge.
Now are also BMC and Garmin Sharp relaying, they dont want Porte taking an important distance. The Sky rider was supposed to support Henao and Dombrowski in the mountains... Is not a GC guy but is a dangerous rider, also EBH go with him on the front.

Attention because BMC takes the control... Now are all the team in the head of the peloton and Bookwalter and Phinney have begun to put a high rhytm. The race are getting serious.
Wow and these are the first riders which have lost contact with the peloton... The pack is totally straight, the riders are one by one...

ATTENTION... ¡¡CRASH!!!
THE PELOTON BREAKS INTO TWO PIECES, THIS IS A KEY MOMENT.. BMC CONTINUES WITH THE HIGH RHYTM AND ¡ WHAT A PILE OF CYCLISTS IN THE ASPHALT!!
Cannondale, IAM... THIS IS THOMAS DE GENDT... THE BELGIAN LOOKS DAMAGED AND IS STILL ON THE FLOOR. VERY BAD NEWS FOR VACANSOLEIL. There are also a lot of Movistar there... ¡¡¡IS NAIRO QUINTANA!!! QUINTANA HAS CRASHED AND IS NOW RIDING HIS BICYCLE AGAIN... WITH HIM ARE CASTROVIEJO AND RUI COSTA. THEY WILL TRY TO KEEP THEIR LEADER TO THE YELLOW JERSEY GROUP AGAIN.

BMC HAVE NOTICED THE SITUATION AND ARE NOW PUSHING WITH ALL THEY HAVE. Phinmey... Bookwalter, Nerz and Van Garderen in the head of the yellow jersey group. They are forcing a very high pace for eliminate Quintana.
BEHIND THE LEADER GROUP IS ALL THE MOVISTAR TEAM TRYING TO GET CLOSE THE BUNCH... LINE OF SEVEN RIDERS... DOWSETT, CASTROVIEJO, AMADOR, MADRAZO, RUI COSTA... QUINTANA
mmm this is Kessiakoff, Löfkvist ¡¡ AND EUROPCAR LEADER PIERRE ROLLAND IS ALSO THERE!! THREE GUYS OF BLANCO... THE ANSWER IS TOM SLAGTER... ¡ALSO JOHAN CHAVES! which is the only Coldeportes. What a sifting.
THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE YELLOW JERSEY PACK AND THE BEHIND GROUP WHERE STAY QUINTANA, CHAVES OR ROLLAND ARE OF... ¡22 SECONDS!!
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT GAP. AND GARMIN SHARP IS NOW COOPERATING WITH BMC.
DIFFICULT SCENARIO FOR MOVISTAR TEAM.

This is Sky with Thomas and Dombrowski and Henao at his wheel... Pinot with two FDJ... also Elissonde... Astana leaders... Betancur is there too.. ALL THE FAVOURITES EXCEPT THE COLOMBIANS AND ROLLAND ARE THERE... MM A FRIEND HAS ALREADY TOLD ME THAT ROMAIN BARDET AND WILCO KELDERMAN ARE IN THE CHASING GROUP TOO, WHERE MOVISTAR CONTINUES PACING IN THE PERSECUTION.

Now we have the race signal again. Few kilometres left, in the breakway Porte has attacked and he is now alone going for the victory. Nice work of his teammate EBHagen in all the stage... Then the Peloton is riding superfast, OPQS is betting for the sprint, here's Argos too with Degenkolb and Kittel... FDJ with Demare... The favourites of the GC are well positioned and the chasing group of Quintana, Chaves and Rolland is now at ¡¡¡1'55" !!! They are losing too much... There are only two Movistar left working for Nairo and then the Blanco boys with their both leaders Wilco Kelderman and Tom Slagter.. Then Chaves with Atapuma. ¡Here's also Jose Rujano! :D For sure this is one of the worst days of their lives. We can see nervous faces... They want differences, there are not visual references with the peloton. Maybe there are losing the TDF ¡¡¡In the second stage!!!

Last five kilometres. Porte has 25" which seems not to be enough for the victory instead of he's a good TT'er. In the peloton has begun the fight for the positions... OPQS continues at the front of the group... Julien Vermote is doing a fantastic work and the differences with the Sky rider have decreased. Are now of only 15"... They can see him. After Vermote is Trentin, then another domestique and finally Fenn ahead Cavendish. It's a perfect train. Argos is with Nikias Arndt and Janse Van Resburg plus Degenkolb with Kittel after him.
