CO for testing is still allowed, and widely considered safe;
the 'shock horror' attitude of the reference to teenagers ignores the fact that they are legal adults;
reference to Kolobnev is just gratuitous: how many hotels have altitude simulation capacity?

I'm not going to say that Ineos, or anyone else in the sport, is above suspicion, but this truly is a dire article.

I remember when the Times was a respected journal of record.
Ten days later, what they did was against the rules of the sport.

If "widely considered safe" why the consent forms?
Who leaked the story? Why now? This took place back in February?
The GT/Tour team were up at Tiede?

No premier league football in England this weekend, desperate for some fillers.
Even half page article on how much longer Pogi will remain invincible.

Just so we don't forget the magnitude of the "Rozman saga" -
1) He was no ordinary soignour or masseur, but "As the head of the masseurs, I am in charge of assigning tasks at the races and am the bridge between the team and the management." (from 2023) and has been there since 2011.
2) Someone else at Sky, probably a doctor, was also in contact with Dr Schmidt.

We await any news from ITA ...

Das ist wieder mal ein Tag wo ich töten könnte!
Google translate gives us, "This is another day where I could kill!"

As the guy has already killed one guy, I'm not sure I'd like to meet him in a bad mood.

Edit - add- for those that want to dig deeper into Dirk's background (and it aint pretty) - in German at https://rechercheportalerfurt.noblo...-moerder-von-hartmut-balzke-dirk-quiatkowski/
How this guy ended up with Schmidt is a real head scratcher.
Rozman's omerta might well be pretty strong if he's thinking about neo-nazi and Dr Schmidt "helper" Dirk Q. He does have a big problem though about explaining his texts and meetings.

Here's a weird coincidence - 2019, Dr Schmidt gets caught and Froomey has a terrible crash.,2025 - Rozman gets outed and Froomey has a terrible crash.

I would assume that Schmidt is somehow affiliated to that szene, or at least sympathizes with it. Both of his lawyers are better known for defending nazis as well, so not really people you would normally choose for a doping case.

Mark Schmidt (C), a German sports physician accused of masterminding an international blood-doping network dismantled last year, arrives with his lawyers Juri Goldstein (L) and Alexander Dann (R) for the start of his trial on September 16, 2020 in Munich. - Schmidt, 42, from Erfurt, and four co-defendants who allegedly aided him, are accused of helping at least two dozen athletes undergo blood transfusions to boost performance illicitly from "the end of 2011 at the latest", according to state prosecutors. An interesting tit-bit of news on the ongoing Rozman saga -
https://observer.co.uk/news/sport/article/weight-loss-drugs-glp1-olympic-games
Gunter Younger, Wada’s director of intelligence and investigations, also denied the suggestion that the agency had mistreated whistleblowers.
“We would never do anything that would endanger a whistleblower,” Younger said. “In the last nine years, none of our whistleblowers have been disclosed. We absolutely reject the suggestion that we are ‘hunting’ a whistleblower.”
Younger, who was a pivotal figure in the far-reaching Operation Aderlass investigation that led to the conviction of Mark Schmidt, the German doping doctor, was unable to confirm the status of the International Testing Agency (ITA) inquiry into allegations of Schmidt’s connection to Ineos Grenadiers staff member, David Rozman.
Rozman was withdrawn from duties for the British team during this year’s Tour de France after the ITA launched an investigation into alleged messages he exchanged in 2012 with Schmidt.
Younger declined to confirm if the Rozman investigation was ongoing. “We asked the ITA to check and to assess and we are working with them to see what can be done, but it’s their investigation.”

Dotting the t's and crossing the i's ... or something like that.
David Rozman's story about his brother Bernard being a priest (and a cyclist it seems) seems kosher - (in Slovenian so Google translate is handy) From 2015, but nothing about his brother David who was in 2015 already a fixture at Team Sky, which seems odd - pre-race

absolutely nothing on Oscar Onley's PCS program. Wonder if we're going to see a hugely improved Oscar unleashed for the Tour?

I see DSM as about as believable a team as there is in WT, Onley's training has all been documented and has been doing the right things from a very young age. If there is a very noticeable jump when he starts for Ineos which there very well might be then it could be a red flag.

Did anyone see Ben Turner at the weekend by the way, what the *** was that! Dropping riders like Caruso and little Pericas on a steep climb then mixing it up in sprints, hopefully him and Ganna have something planned in the classics because Pedersen and Van Aert are crocked at the moment and it could end up being a walkover.

Rivera, Egan, turner, August, watson. Sheffield. These boys are flying.

Confused as to why onley stopped putting all his rides on strava after his transfer.

When you excitedly open the thread to hear the latest on the Rozman case and hear random speculation on the next British tdf winner...forum is back.
