Cycling chic starts down a slippery slope without realising that Dr M. is taking her for a ride when stating Cadel is French ?
Will load later , a photo of Cadel shaking paws with a belgian dog , yesterday in Cagnes ! Goes with ther chichi that Damiano nursed last Friday , on Parrabuddy .

Frankly , after talking with phat the rat , last friday , i am sure , he hasn't the gumption to dream up a way to make Impey , SAlow , after Gerroyello !

Word around the " Le Tour " is , that phat is on fire as nein fordruggen has bought the 22 delegates needed for " petty cash "!

" The FIX IS IN "! was the comment from several " in the know " types ! Some like my comments here but think the " clinic " are going to get theie derrieres kicked by complacency , wishful thinking and conjecture !

What's the expression ? " move along , nothing to be seen here "?

do I have to say it again - I am not accusing orica of doping...

Then I have to ask again, why is this in the clinic?

While doping isn't the only thing that can be discussed in the clinic (just that doping can only be discussed in the clinic), it is the usual convention.

If you aren't accusing Orica of doping, why post this thread here?

Which Australian Team have ever won a stage at the Tour ? Which British team up until last year ever won a stage at the tour ? answer = zero cause none existed.

Look at how the Cycling world has changed in just 1 year....who would ever have predicted that Great Britain, Australia and Africa would have been leading / winning and expected to win the TDF....and who owns SKY ? who will tune into Sky to watch the next cycle races, next years Tour ? its all helping to increase Cyclings profile.

and don't bother mentioning Lance...he's already yesterdays fish and chip paper.

Emmm...Sky don't show the tour. Tha'ts ITV and Eurosport. Neither a subscription channel.

But hey, if you wanna find conspiracies, knock yourself out.

Orica Greenedge, Simon Gerrans and now DARYL IMPEY IN YELLOW ! somethings beginning to stink in this TDF just like last year.

Didn't someone predict a British, African, Australian sudden rise of success to attract more revenue for cycling ?? SKY did it for the British and now we have the Aussies TTT win and Gerrans stage win, and now the FIRST AFRICAN to wear the Yellow Jersey !

Something stinks !

Makes you wonder, innit? Be interesting to list the teams with SA or SA-affiliated riders and how those teams progress since that announcement by Phat...

I think Cadel considers himself Aussie first, then Italian, btw ;)

I heard through the grapevine that Hein Verbruggen brokered a deal with OGE to get Darryl Impey into yellow. I believe that a large brokerage fee component of the transaction went into Verbruggen's Swiss bank account :)

Seriously, why is this in the clinic anyway ?

Yea, I think you found the stink :D

If my history is correct this is the first Australian Team.

Back, in the day on FDJ there were a whole pack of Australians on the team, O'Grady with Gan, not sure if Jens Voigt counts (maybe or small fraction)?

There's been a long history of Australians on Pro teams, I know they had a very tight Worlds team(s).

Not sure why they would stink now, I could see an aroma back in the late '90's and early '00's but not now.

Have to admit, my Italian, well, it is non-existent. :(

Can someone let us in on this?

Dave.

Via google translate, he's basically saying the excuses trotted out:

special new training techniques
special new equipment
special mood lighting (ok that's me)
etc

equates to .5% of an improvement.

So if teams and riders now are doing speeds they did in the gutter of over the top doping, well. You connect the dots.

mood lighting is underrated wiggo. maintains the circadian rhythm

Let's keep things in perspective. That wasn't a TTT course, it was a prologue run by nine guys at the same time.

25K? Gimme a break. There is NO way the times from Tuesday should be even discussed in the same breath with other TTTs. Whoever thought a 15 mile long TTT was a good idea is an idiot. If they DIDN'T set some records, I'd be left scratching my head.

Where have you been?

Sky lawyers tried to gag me. Sent me a cease and desist order.

I'm not allowed to use the term "full ***" and "Dawg" or "Froome" in the same sentence.

I've also been forbidden from posting the Froome zig zag picture.

what the hell is going on in this thread

OGE's team of ex-track riders won the (very short) TTT by 1 second over a sprint lead out team

i love a good conspiracy theory but this is waaaaaaaaaay off

that said, if OGE suddenly are able to perform in the mountains and have a good GC result... but that is about as likely as chris froome winning a bunch kick

Essentially, someone noticed a UCI intention for certain outcomes being realised. OP is not suggesting that OGE are doping, or did dope, based on the results, and CC even goes so far as to say this explicitly. I agree with CC that this is certainly coincidentally intriguing.

You can't have a conversation online without people misreading, misinterpreting or assuming things, so that's what's happening in this thread.

Yes, something certainly stinks. I think the general consensus by 'normal' people who know this sport and are not caught up in the small internet forum world of allegations, rudeness, speculation and downright nasty thinking, have said for a long time (many years in some cases) that once the peleton cleans up then we'll have a situation where people who ride clean and come from cultures where doping isn't endemic have got a chance to shine. What disturbs me about doping over the years is the lost opportunities for riders who didn't get involved and had to watch their drugged peers ride away with the spoils. What we are now seeing is the start of that process. I know half of you on this forum would deny that. I think that's because you want doping, you yearn for it - every positive is a victory because your whole raison d'etre appears to be "I love riders who dope because they justify everything I believe". But what stinks around here are the posters who really cannot see the positive changes that are now taking place. Go for it clean riders! Seize the day!

You do realise Impey is in yellow completely by a fluke and that he hasn't actually done anything at all in the race so far?
