Only in the road did they finally straighten things up. I agree with the assessment of Coldeportes. I said Duarte was taking a huge step backwards after GEOX-TMC fell apart. He should have gone somewhere else. Rubiano did something similar. From Androni, he should have moved up, not laterally (or down). One of the reasons I wanted Winner to win was because of this. I like Rubiano a lot. Before Androni, he was kickass in Asia, similar path that Arredondo had to do. That being said, I would have liked Lampre to have the Colombian champion as well as the world champion on the same team. Coldeportes is aiming for the Giro. Anacona will attend more WT races, IMO. This is probably the best thing that has happen to the Colombia team. Entering the Vuelta a Colombia was a disaster, IMO.
