Good for Rubiano! I was hoping Winner will be the winner, but, oh well.
Lampre did a good job with the Venezuelan national jersey, so figured it will look good in Anacona. Hoping Rubiano wears a jersey were the white and black are flipped around. Everything else should stay the same. I'm hoping Rubiano has a chance to win a stage like he did with Androni in the Giro.

rubiano so far has been one big disapointment in coldeportes. liek pretty much every rider under corti. I hope this brings something good. I can't remember a colombian natioanl championship with "european" colombians at the start. unfortunately none of them did the national itt a few days ago won by pedro herrera, while the u23 version was won by 19 year old sensation carlos ramirez, who on the same source and distance rode faster than any of the pro's!! maybe a new botero in the making

The national championships were a disaster. The organizers forgot to get permits from Cartagena, the mayor decided to open up the roads to traffic. U23 and Women got affected by this. Only in the road did they finally straighten things up. I agree with the assessment of Coldeportes. I said Duarte was taking a huge step backwards after GEOX-TMC fell apart. He should have gone somewhere else. Rubiano did something similar. From Androni, he should have moved up, not laterally (or down). One of the reasons I wanted Winner to win was because of this. I like Rubiano a lot. Before Androni, he was kickass in Asia, similar path that Arredondo had to do. That being said, I would have liked Lampre to have the Colombian champion as well as the world champion on the same team. Coldeportes is aiming for the Giro. Anacona will attend more WT races, IMO. This is probably the best thing that has happen to the Colombia team. Entering the Vuelta a Colombia was a disaster, IMO.

Im in the bandwagon for being sad Anacona missing it :(
He got some bad luck with injuries and the national jersey would have been a good motivation boost.

duarte always chooses for the money and coldeportes offered him a lot more than astana. rubiano also got offered a lot of money and leadership in a horrible team

I put the link because the picture is too big, and it probably won't let me post it. It's a picture of the TT in the Clasica de Rionegro. I like how it shows the steepness of what they had to ride through.

And I've been absent for over a month here. I've just been swamped with work, and some schooling here and there which has resulted in some laziness. But I'll try and be more active like before.
Thanks to those who posted the results for the Colombian nationals.

Alexis Camacho won stage 1 of the Boyaca Classic yesterday ahead of Miguel Angel Lopez, Santiago Ojeda and Frank Osorio.

2nd stage won by Daniel Rozo and Frank Osorio is the new leader.

Great to see Frank Osorio back from his knee injury!
