wow! the old days of team lider revive a little :) ttt animals they were. arguably the greatest team in latin america and for sure the wealthiest for years until they were almost all caught on the juice :) now is new generation, new teams as cycling was dead in chile for a few years almost after lider was unfolded. but they have incredible talents lined up

edison bravo, wolfgang burmann, luis mansilla, vicente muga. only very few left of the old days in which chile used to dominate all of america in track, luis sepulveda, antonio cabrera, gonzalo miranda, enzo cesario :)

cycling in the south of south america is very different. you often see monsters there because races are totally flat, wind and sprints. the big guy on the right there is hugo abarzua. he is 190 and 97 kg, no kidding and probably gets paid to put wulfgang burmann out of the wind who is 166 and 54 kg and their team leader in these stageraces :)

in argentina, not in this race, rides guillermo brunetta who is 204 and 97 kg

For some reason he reminds me of a bigger JJ Haedo.

they start of in the north I think? can't wait for them to get to the south where cycling is very popular

also I looked at the results today adn it seems the winning team lost a rider during ttt and he abandoned  ricardo hazbun. the other 5 finished in same. if there was a crash the time is even more impressive but they really can't stand losing a rider now when teams are only 6 men big

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to seer ardila return to his lotto and colombia glory of pre-rabo now he's back in colombia again. used to be incredible talent but only rode for the money as soon as he went to rabo.

mauricio ardila cano rode for the money also when he was at lotto: in the sestriere stage, after colle delle finestre he helped savoldelli to keep rosa and beat simoni, when ruyano won the stage.
he had no interest in helping il falco, except.....
but cycling is like that....

anyway simoni and his tifosi where not really happy with ardila and the other lotto guy ( van huffel, if i correctly remember) which saved the giro for il falco.

it's also why I really hate ardila. I also very much dislike pena but ardila the most by far.
