hyped his chances? he said he had no chance and would try to win a stage if possible.

He came pretty darn close

Didn't he say he wanted a mountain stage and a time trial stage?

Maybe I got that wrong. I'm a big fan of boxing too, so I guess I'm just too used to guys hyping themselves up.

Looks like Caisse doesn't want to tow all the GC contedners uphill in a stead y pace. Are the sending them ahead so that Valverde can jump to them and then ride a TTT with some damage done to those that couldn;t bridge?

Gap's closing fast. 1:50 down a mintue in 1K

Disappointing stage. The climb just gets easier and easier as it goes on. Heck the final 2kms are at 2%

he should go for the win and sit on Hesjedal's wheel...

I think they can hold it if the last section is onl 2%

They couldn't follow. They tried. Gesink should be 18 seconds from valverde now. Did really well. Even if he did only gain 18 seconds.

Taking time in bites. Tomorrow is another big day in the mountains, so maybe the others were trying to conserve their energy in anticipation.

Ryder Hesjedal really deserved that win:D

+1, if Garcia would have been able to seriously challenge him, I would have put him in the barriers if I were Ryder. Didn't happen though. Great win, long time coming!
