We're almost halfway through that number and not halfway through the stage

Seeing the amount of posts this thread already has, I think it has the potential to become the most commented race thread in the forum's history.

For that you need Froome to show up at the final climb.

You know, they finally managed to make tennis exciting for me: by making me root for the dude ahead to finish the match already!

Everyone is piling the hate on Lefevere. Maybe correct that he is being a hypocrite here, but I've seen plenty of tweets from pro-cyclists echoing his words.
Look, I definitely understand Lefevere: he's never been this close to win a GT and it would be huge for the team. But I've seen races in worse or similar conditions. And obviously, regardless of how much I would love to ride those climbs, I wouldn't want to be in the riders shoes today.

Anyway, hats off to Kiser, Geniez and Franco for attacking. It's great when peripheral GC riders go so soon, it always forces very hard racing.

I said it's suicide to attack between now and the final climb. Kiserlovski went a long time ago when it was smarter

I wasnt replying to you. Was replying to the dude saying **** top 10. Risk it all.

But anyways, in a weather like this, on Stelvio, if you feel ok you can crack up the whole race by attacking now. Its on stages like that that epic attacks can be made at any time. But you need to be willing to risk it all.

Absolutely. But you also need to be a few minutes back on GC with no other good chances to gain much time before you'll risk it.
