How important could be the flat part for GC riders?
Any significant differences here?
imo riders should ride with easy but not too much cuz they need to heat up before Grappa,is it more or less true?

this is definitely tougher than that sierra nevada itt crushed by santi perez in 2004. any mountain itt's harder than this one i wonder?

gaps will be ridiculous tomorrow too I would guess.

Quintana
Aru 1 minute
Uran, Pozzovivo 2 minutes
Kelderman, Hesjedal, Rolland, Majka around 2-3 minutes
Evans 5 minutes
Grande Ivan 10 minutes :(

I'd be very surprised with anything less than a win from Quintana. The way he drove the pace up the Val Martello climb suggests that despite all the talk about his health, he's doing just fine now.

I think it's very important in terms of pacing. If you go to hard here, you might really regret it afterwards. I think it's way smarter to go 15 seconds slower than possible here. If you go too hard you'll lose minutes up the Grappa.

I just noticed Monfort sits 14th on GC  did anyone actually see him these 3 weeks? I bet De Greef is very proud of him.

De Greef usually makes himself visible at least once every GT with a stupid attack or pulling in the maglia rosa group or something like that. But Monfort is the master of disappearance, he was 14th at the last Tour, 16th at the 2012 Vuelta, 16th at the 2012 Tour, 6th at the 2011 Vuelta. He accomplished all this barely showing himself. I think he had one top10 in the stages of these GTs. De Greef dreams that one day he can be a Monfort.

yea, de Greef is still to reckless to master the skills necessary to be the infamous "invisible rider" that there has been so many rumors about hiding in the peloton, never to be seen by the human eye
