i don't know why you're complaining

waiting for the last climb is not more than normal, that has been happening for years and years and years.
The peloton is already really small

totally agree. Attacks from the big guns would be suicide considering liquigas tactics. And basso has all right to do, it is the best chance of winning for him and should in theory really make the final climb hard. Gonna be messy :)

But hey, let the riders throw their chances away to please the forumites.

The problem was losing szmyd. Liqui didn't want to push the pace with capecchi and leave basso with only caruso for the final two climbs, so capecchi went his own pace, which enabled some to return and the gap to the break to actually go up

I didn't expect an attack.
I expected a real selection.
not more than 10 riders in the bunch. 1 leaky left.

Savio is saying that José Rujano doesn't represent his team's values, because unlike Ochoa, Serpa and others, who have shown determination, Rujano just leaves the race because of, according to him, a slight problem. It seems Savio is really ****ed off at him and it is pretty sure this means Rujano won't continue with the team.

His contract is up anyway.

Because the parcours is perfect for it, and because we haven't seen any attacks anywhere else. Just how do some of these folks expect to win the Giro?

Seriously, I can't believe some of you can bring yourselves to justify what we're seeing this Giro.

The marketing idiots who got rid of Zomegnan. If i´d see this new guy, who said he don´t know cycling, eye to eye i´d slap his face. That angry i am.

I posted it stages ago, they turned the great Giro into the Baby-TdF. Nobody needs this, but hypocrisy german journalists who don´t follow cycling anyway.
the riders are to blame (today), not the organisers

no. capecchi simply isn't great either. he pushed in the beginning but not many dropped. basso's only hope is a strong caruso

With Guardini winning yesterday I'm not sure he cares... Did well to even start today I think, you've got to respect him for even trying!

It's been **** so far but now you are just hate for the sake of hating. In no race what so ever would i be normal to attack 3 climbs to the finish.

because riders want to win some places on the GC, obtain the leaders jersey, win a stage... just the main things a race is all about i always thought but i might be wrong of course

Basso is, as we all know, a fantastic descender and with two descents left, Basso attacking would simply be a genious thing to do...
I'm sure you'll call him genious even when he'll win today gaining 15 seconds.

Exactly. Just because Liquigas has been bluffing the whole Giro and setting up a less than impressive pace, people have bought it and assume they must be super strong. They aren't. They could have isolated Basso countless times already.

Too much tactics; not enough racing. I wannt see someone do something "stupid" and win the race rather than do something and "smart" and not drop off of the podium.

In support, I reference your signature. ;)

It is more than 30 km to go, the group is already small, give it a break, guys. Good things are about to come. It isn't like they were going to attack halfway from the finish line.
