i think movistar will win the stage, podium is ok-ish but stage win could make it a good tour for them...considering froome will probably want to win tomorrow there could be some pacts sealed between sky and movistar

So you say that stage win is better than double podium?

no,i said podium is ok (it was expected) but podium + stage win is a good tour (for movistar that is)

I'm baffled by Movistar just baffled. I can not imagine why quintana keeps countering contador. Like seriously are you fighting for the win or for podium places. Froome looked tired at times yesterday. In stead of letting team sky respond which only had thomas with froome at times they do all the work for them.

Huge Froome fan myself but this way its made to easy for him.
I thought it was pretty clear that Movistar's goal is to get 2-3 in Paris?

It's clear, but what isn't is why. No one cares who finishes third.
I think it's pretty clear why. And yes, the riders care and the sponsors care.

They're riding for us. Cycling fans will understand they settled for the podium after a week and won't be impressed. Non-cycling fans won't be interested in anyone other than the winner and so won't even know about them anyway. Neither sounds very good for the sponsor. Glad to hear the riders are having fun though.

I hope Valverde is dropped today. Not on the last climb though, but on the Croix de Fer. This way he'll lose so much time that he'll lose his podium spot and have no chance of getting it back. Karma for doing absolutely NOTHING for the last 2 and a half weeks. He and his Movistar team have been the reason this tour has been so bad.

Let's guess who will be in the break. My guess:

Fuglsang & Kangert (Astana), Bardet & Chérel (AG2R), Pinot (FDJ), Kreuziger & Rogers (Tinkoff), Herrada & Izagirre (Movistar), Sanchez (BMC), Bak (Lotto), Rodriguez & Losada (Katusha), Uran (OPQS), Rolland & Sicard (Europcar), Zubeldia (Trek), Oliveira (Lampre), Martin (Cannondale-Garmin), Mate (Cofidis), Pantano (IAM), Feillu & Vachon (Bretagne), Kudus & Pauwels (MTN)

25 riders.
:D

Nice prediction in my opinion. Would probably be something similar I would predict. Heck, let me try :D

Rolland, Voeckler, Sicard (Europcar), Sanchez, Caruso (BMC), Jungels (Trek), Rodriguez (Katusha), Uran (EQS), Martin, Hesjedal (Cannondale), Pauwels, Teklehaimanot (MTN), Pinot (FDJ), Kreuziger, Majka (Tinkoff), Castroviejo, Anacona (Movistar), Fuglsang, Scarponi (Astana), Kruijswijk (LottoNL), Pantano (IAM), Riblon (Ag2r), Perichon (Bretagne), Navarro (Cofidis), Porte (Sky),

What do you think about Winner Anacona, Alexis Vuillermoz, Tony Gallopin and Tanel Kangert? Can one of them win the stage today or stage 20?

Surely if Rodriguez goes in the break he'll get a teammate to as well, he can't do all these breaks alone.

It's bad for him the team is absolutely horrible. Caruro is nowhere near his level, and also Losado is in bad shape. Machado too.

Why did they not bring Moreno

He doesn't want to renew his contract.

Nairo just gave himself a 10% chance to take the yellow and said they will wait for the finale to move.....

I really hope that was a lie. If not, I'm putting Quintana a level below Nibali, Froome and Contador--in that he seems to lack that killer instinct/will to win. Listening to Froome just now, he sounds like he has a cold.

Arredondo is right. Moreno wasn't selected because he's leaving.

You can only dream that he is pulling a Contador and bluffing.

Froome has a cold? Could just be about survival for him today and tomorrow

Is it finally going to happen? The weather has forsaken me too often this TdF so I won't count on it. Probably starts at 20:00 or something.

And yet again there won't be rain just like I thought it would happen. Yesterdays predictions was thunderstorms with heavy showers from 12:00 until 19:00 and now it's just sunny!

AAARRRGGHHHH!

A good ramp and short downhill stretch at the very beginning of Col du Chaussy. Breakaway should form quickly.
Hopefully, they've understood each other in the neutral zone.

Lol brailsford just called Valverde, "Alexander", "Alexandro" and "Alessandro" all within the space of 10 seconds. Poor Alejandro :D

He didn't say that. It sounded like it he was slightly congested--more nasally than normal. It could be wishful thinking on my part :p
