Any major issues today, just tuned in.

Nibali/Contador attacked at the start and all of SKY bar Froome dropped like a stone. Everything came back together on the 30km of flat
Poels was always with Froome

he was dropped as well, froome was alone. that should be a huge motivation for quintana and movistar that they should try it a second time. they got a man in the breakaway group if im not mistaken.

Maybe i missed something but i could see Poels there all the time. There was one point where Poels was on the front while Froome was further back so maybe that is why he appeared isolated? Sky definitely looked a bit weak anyway and hopefully that will encourage attacking from the others.

you are probably right I am blind as a bat :D

Attacking for 5 seconds and then sitting up and looking for 5 seconds if Froome is still there is not trying. When are people gonna understand that?

Breakaway is starting to pull away. Gap up to 2:50. If the GC race doesn't explode before the final climb, I think the break will take this stage.

Movistar deserves to lose this Tour.

Lose? That implies that they were once winning it, which is not just true. They have always been fighting for second place. They got lucky YJ got ill.

It doesn't imply they were winning. But if you don't win, you lose...

This is crazy.... you had Geraint Thomas dropping on the first climb... Tinkoff / Lotto / Astana should force the pace now, 5th place there for grab...

some of you act like they have never watched TDF. why are you guys bashing lotto. how are they doing work for sky? sky was setting a very low pace, gap was almost 3 min. Lotto is pushing now which gives sky no rest and the gap is 1:30 now.

The reason why people are pissed is the majority of this forum hate Sky. The only people that like Sky are the sky fanboys who are annoying as ****.

and sky haters are even more annoying these days.

Notice how all the posters who come here to make absolutely every single conversation about Sky all joined in the last few weeks.

This. Some of this anti Sky stuff is obsessional.

We're bashing Lotto for protecting their 8th place. Not for working for Sky

they could have dropped Sky on the first climb (probably not enough warming up?), but now they let them get into the rythm... sigh
Good for Froome, but not good for suspense.

But I thought SKY were the bad tacticians?

If any attacks happen in the GC group, it won't be until much closer to the summit.

i think you meant to say "if any attacks happen in the gc group, it won't be until contador or nibali do something."

:D

in the first climb there were 3-4 tinkoff in the breakaway. They could have helped astana increasing the gap.The breakaway with Bertie and Nibs was almost bigger than the peloton with Froome. They could have even kept the gap wide on the flat part

well thats even more idiotic. these guys train months for the tour de france. to have your driver become 6th out of 200+ riders is an amazing accomplishment. if you cant understand why these teams protect their top 10 finishes than you dont understand cycling.
