My stance on attacking has always been to quote Sastre 'It's a race not a tea party'. But Nibs is one of my favs and this just isn't sitting well. I should be happy he is winning this stage. But I'm not, I had higher expectations of him. Granted Astana has always attacked on others problems. Vino must have warped Nibs sense of honor.......

Sure, he knew Froome had a problem, but from the way Astana were riding, he was about to go anyway.. and he's still 6 minutes down on virtual GC, so he was hardly attacking the yellow jersey.

There's no point Quintana even attacking anyway. It's too late now. Who would he be attacking? Might as well just sit tight for his dull second, since he's made his bed already.

People give out about Sky, but Movistar has ruined this tour, Valverde should F off to another team if he wants to be a GC leader and won't do a bit of DOMing. In any case Quintana has been a joke...

Quintana is clearly saving energy for a nuclear attack tomorrow.

Nah, he is tired. He can't 3 minutes on Froome considering what is left. If he takes 30s on Froome on Alpe d'Huez I would be impressed.

Some things I would keep in mind-
-Nibali is pretty far back and isn't too big a concern for Froome.
-The attack is probably more for the stage win then to unseat Froome in GC.
-If you watch the video, it looks like his teammate is blocking his view of Froome. So all he saw could very well have just been Froome drifting back and having no room in his current position to respond (being surrounded by riders).
