Congratulations to De Gendt, I was wrong, you knew what you were doing, and you have some loyal fans here.

We salute you all!

I still like Rodriguez. Great rider. I hope the podium ends with HEsjay, Rodriguez and Thomas. I would prefer De Gendt or Rodriguez to win but Hesjay will probably win it

Does anyone actually like Rodriguez anymore?

I do, just not on this kind of climb. It has to be stupidly steep, or short-to-mid length really. His strength would not be in attacking early here, and his key gains are in short sharp bursts.

As the maglia rosa, of course, he is not obliged to attack, others are obliged to attack him, I just thought it was a really frustrating stage except for de Gendt.

Wow, what a stage. De Gendt is a legend, unfortunately he won't win :(

I still want Purito to win, but he didn't deserve, after today's ride. I hope Hesjedal won't win [I have no idea why, I should like him, he was awesome the whole Giro, but for some reason I don't like him]

WHAT A STAGE! Great rides by De Gendt and Hesjedal!
I think Hesjedal is safe from De Gendt.

Rodriguez lost himself the Giro. 31 kms is 30 kms too long tomorrow for him!

I have mixed feelings. Some ups and downs. Disappointed that Jrod and Scarponi rode for podium rather than 1. place. But thrilled about TDG. He's my personal winner of this Giro.

Based on this logic is anyone allowed to win?

yes. this is basically vintage jrod, bit boring/shifty... but i like him

But it only shows why he will never win a GT, not because of his time trialing, but because he can't or is unwilling to gain time in the mountains.

His win on Allevard last year was an outstanding performance, but for some reason he isn't comfortable riding that way on the big stage.

Congrats to Purito. After having Hesjedal kill himself (reluctantly; Ryder should have gone earlier, although it worked out fine for him in the end), he waited for the last 800 m to take a massive 10 seconds. Way to lose the Giro, Purito. Way to go. You might even end up out of the podium.

I soo want De Gendt to put out a monter performance in the ITT and win this. That would teach them a lesson.

See, this is what happens when you soft-pedal for three weeks instead of taking time when you can. People who haven't been as good as you are still in the thick of it and can surprise thanks to a smart tactical move, and furthermore, you don't have any stages left to correct your mistake. De Gendt is going to podium, and one of Purito or Scarponi won't. Serves them right.

Hesjedal hesitated, but he did a good job in the end, so if he wins this I won't cut my wrists.

Hesj was 3.30 min below TdG in the tour ITT.
But that was 10-15km longer, hesj was riding for top 20 rather then a GT overall victory, and TdG didn't solo for 60km the day before in a 7 hour stage.

gotta be hesj race to lose.
