For the UCI pointsIt looks like they have recorded a gap between WVA and Roglič, but I don't understand why he was sprinting like that for 11th place.
Which is absolutely shocking considering the importance of positioning and only 2 riders having a great team for that.GC riders pretty woeful for this kind of stage depth wise.
Yep. Looks like he's been working on his game.I was a bit surprised that Jonas was so strong on the punchy climbs. He looks great, so far.
What?Vingegaard spent too much time in the finale looking for WvA, I’d argue he and Jorgenson could have taken turns going to take the win, as everyone else was alone.
He needs to be less of a “team guy” sometimes.
Expected Lipowitz to loose time today, but that's a bit much. Was he caught up in the crash as well or did he drop all of that climbing?
And all the puncheur types have great teams for positioning?Which is absolutely shocking considering the importance of positioning and only 2 riders having a great team for that.
Neither, he was right behind the gap that opened on the flat, then ate too much wind and lost more on the climb.Expected Lipowitz to loose time today, but that's a bit much. Was he caught up in the crash as well or did he drop all of that climbing?
Does he have to use the KOM?Van der poel really should have hit the brakes out of spite after he realized that he wouldn't win, so that a gap opens and Pogacar has to ride the TT in yellow.
Jonas was more than able to keep up in these short punchy climbs at Dauphine as well - he's def improved his punch.Pog superb today. Vingo looks much stronger than at the Dauphine, as does Remco. Great to see VdP in the mix at the Tour finally. Wish Roglic and WvA were up there at the front as well.
It looked like he was dropped in the downhill before the last hill. He was leading the chase there.Expected Lipowitz to loose time today, but that's a bit much. Was he caught up in the crash as well or did he drop all of that climbing?
Completely agree. He suffocated Remco today. And these short hills are supposed to be Joao's kryptonite.Almeida is gonna drop Remco so hard in the mountains after this performance
and Oscar OnleyGreat stage design when the world's 3 best riders fill up the podium
Guess why I'm SADAlmeida celebrating? With all Pogi’s wins incoming Joao gonna be suspended untill 2037.
What? I don't think he thought of Van Aert at any moment in the final. He should have cooperated with Pogi though, would have cost him less bonus seconds, but that's hindsight.Vingegaard spent too much time in the finale looking for WvA, I’d argue he and Jorgenson could have taken turns going to take the win, as everyone else was alone.
He needs to be less of a “team guy” sometimes.
They just can’t quit each otherwith Roglic attached to his wheel
I’m talking about before they let Almeida back, when they were just 6 (5?) in the front group. What?
Pogacar was not alone, there are no chance any attacks from Vingegaard after the last climb would lead to anything.
