I hate it. I've been watching cycling since 2015. I was 11 back then. In 2017 or so I discovered the clinic and I was mostly starting to learn more about cycling - past winners, scandals, etc. I was supposed to go see the Pyrenees stages in the TdF in 2020. Then Covid hit, and I soon found out I wasn't going anywhere. I still remember watching those stages from home, Hirschi's attacks, Pog absolutely shining over everyone - it was the moment everything went downhill for me. I already was suspicious about Pogacar, knowing Gianetti and Matxin's history, but after those stages, I just started noticing. Turn 2021, it was already a freakshow. I resumed to watching 2. or nat races in France, Italy and other races in the Europe circuit, only sometimes tuning in to the bigger events. The years went by and I couldn't even watch it with my family anymore as I'd left home for uni. Now I just check the clinic once in a while and open PCS to see another season where Pog (and others) seem to do a Jalabert in 95. Maybe I'm just screaming at the clouds, but I hate everything about it - the ignorance, the arrogance, the influx of new fans that seem to love eating this slop up, the lack of serious scrutiny, the comerciallisation. I made this account just to rant. I hate it.
