It would be funny if it turns out to be Adam Yates.

How about Bart Lemmen flying too close to the sun (possibly both literally and figuratively)?

But that wouldn't exactly kill the sport, perhaps it would even have the opposite effect.
Lemon having his Tour of Norway result correctly stripped would be a joyous day for cycling, everyone who packed up and quit that day would be back. If it is Remco then Valentin Madouas is a gold medallist, Quinten Hermans retroactively given a monument!!!

And Enric Mas could be a Vuelta champion, while Campenaerts could get that Tour of Belgium win he lost in that corner in 2019.

A rumour being peddled by CyclingHighlights and Ciclismo2005 in the year of our lord two thousand and twenty-six could be compared to a rumour being pushed by Vayer. Might well be true, this is cycling after all, but even if that's the case it's probably wrapped in a lot of hot air

yep. I tought VAyer and his French pals were lunatics, and the old hardcore anti Sky gang were mad, but the Spanish crew dear me are over the top.

What on Earth is the Zakharin prize? For going more slowly down mountains than up them?
It's basically an award for the most exquisitely shady performance of the season. Like, if you crush everybody you're obviously beyond suspicious, but to win the Zakarin Award you need to be irregular, pop up out of nowhere with an absurd performance, disappear just as easily, be doing fine and then explode for no apparent reason, withdraw from a race or retire from the sport in mysterious circumstances, win a race you have absolutely no business winning, that sort of thing

Van Aert would be quite funny, there was a rumour last year about a doctor in his hometown getting popped but it never seemed to go anywhere. I did see many cycling accounts getting all misty-eyed yesterday because he went for a spin on the rollers with a stubbed toe. You would think Michael Schumacher himself had opened his eyes, pulled out his tubes and gone for a few laps around the block in his Ferarri the way they're talking about this bloody injury.

It's funny to see a potential doping positive become a big event that people seem excited about though, strange sport cycling, it's offseason, there's nothing else to talk about, give it a week.

He was the original mads perdersen man, the propaganda around him for the last 5 years like he was some kind of unicorn when he was a mediocre classics rider who got juiced up for the summer freakshow. Crashes on an easy corner and sprains his ankle like ilmaestro in age group football. Admittedly it gets harder and hard to hate on him but when landa is lying down for 2 months with a snapped spine nobody is showing such sympathy. C'est bizarre
