I just rewatched the previous two editions and it struck me that both races were largely decided with more than 20 km to go. Just waiting until the final climbs seems to be a bad idea. You have to be agressive in a race like this.
Could be even more the case this time. Reading a few interviews with riders who have been on the course they are saying the conditions are very different to what they usually are in March. A lot less grip on the dirt, less visibility because of the dust and altogther more dangerous. Being out in front will a bigger advantage than usual
