I do believe the two Ineos big boys are going to beat Remco as they had a better preparation for this race. Van Aert won't top5 and Sheffield is my dark horse for podium.

Yup. I think this has been an observation made by posters here too. Regarding the worlds for instance, riding the Vuelta often tends to be a plus in the road race and a minus in the tt.

Men's ITT should be exciting I think... there are maybe ~6-7 guys who have a real shot at a podium... and if it rains more then that makes things even more unpredictable.

2021: 1:01 to 2nd, 1:04 to 3rd
2016: 0:47 to 2nd, 1:02 to 3rd
2012: 0:42 to 2nd, 1:08 to 3rd
2008: 0:33 to 2nd, 1:10 to 3rd

Should be the closest one since 2004 on paper I guess.

For the time trial, it doesn't seem to matter much if you've been a contender or a domestique or a gruppetto passenger in the Tour.

I refuse to believe rain could keep anyone away. It's a free event for anybody visiting.

But the TT is not necessarily before the RR.

The order of the races hasn't seemed to matter that much. It's more about having specifically prepared for a 45-60 minute all-out effort (or 30 minutes in this case).
