ah yes, the famous Polish rider, Łoczcąkno.Lozcakno? Even ilmaestro and taxus will be envious of that.
There will be plenty more of those in the future. We have been robbed of a legendary Remco vs. Tarling duel.
Remco is probably on his way to become the best TT of all times.
Needs slightly more than one WC for that. But you could be right, provided Tarling doesn't prove to be a significant obstacle.Remco is probably on his way to become the best TT of all times.
Ganna was quicker than Remco in the final splitWith his mechanical, Tarling was 6 seconds slower than Ganna to T1.
From T1 to T2 he was 4 seconds faster.
From T2 to finish he was 10 seconds lower.
So he was riding faster than Ganna prior to the flat, lost the time, then continued to ride faster than Ganna, before losing time in the final 10k.
Ganna must have been flying the final 10k, where only Remco was faster. Wout lost 15s to him over that interval!
Yeah, pretty even, just looked to my eye really strong Ganna and little bit soft Tarling, maybe he blew mentally a bit with that flat..The gap between the both of them is 13s. It doesn't matter whether Ganna started slow and finished fast, or whatever, the only thing that matters is his time at the finish and how much time Tarling lost. So 10-15s (slowing down, getting on the new bike and get going again) seems realistic.

Thanks for the correction. By 2s.Ganna was quicker than Remco in the final split
Good. Mou was there yesterday, running with the torch on the rooftopsForum legend Michael Tarling on TV
Because Evenepoel started dancing the funky chicken in the final 500 meters. Probably took 0 risks in that final corner because he knew he just had to bring it home safely, and had enough to stop pedalling and start cheering before crossing the line. Thanks for the correction. By 2s.
He has said that the Glasgow TT was one of the worst days in his life so it's not like that's a very likely scenario to happen again.
I doubt there was much difference between the two on the final corner, Ganna almost came to a standstill. The ticker went from -12s on WvA at like 800m to go and then -10s at the finish line, Ganna's cornering really not good today.Because Evenepoel started dancing the funky chicken in the final 500 meters. Indurain and MerckxRemco is probably on his way to become the best TT of all times.
He is not a specialist for sure but he still is a top 7 TT in the world in flat TTs.he has never really had a great flat TT though... even in top form this year he was:
30 seconds behind Ganna on a flat Giro course (similar to today actually length wise) when everyone had 13 days racing in their legs.
1 minute faster than Foss... (who was 1:45 down today)
1:10 faster than Sheffield... (who was 1:53 down today)
the guys he directly competed against in that TT who are here are all roughly a similar amount down vs Ganna as they were today.
my guess is he would have got 5th today, probably ~35-45 seconds down on Evanepoel.
Considering the weather conditions, road surface and equipment, w solid disc and TT position you have to reach really deep on the bars in order to grab enough brakes.. Top ten all rode great, and great recoveries after crashing for many riders..overall excellent..Congrats Remco! Great ride!
--His legs were better than even he thought.
Great rides from Ganna and WvA as well!
Save of the day by Ganna!
Congrats G. Brown!
Henderson & Dygert too!
Lots of mean spirited posts in this thread, what's up with that?!
Nah Ineos' TT set-up is still excellent, and they have one of the very best TT nerds working for them too. With the current state of Ineos I wouldn't be too worried about that.
