Dunno where this idea comes from that the Olympic races aren't worth that much. I'd rather win here than the World Champs, you could really piss people off by walking around all the time with your Gold Medal on like Kurt Angle.
To bad for you that your not invited.
Also are people here talking about if OL holds more value than WC in cycling?

Arent you guys suppose to know some *** atleast? Even casual fans knows WC is bigger in cycling jesus christ.

Note that in road cycling such medals hold little to no value.
Little to no value? Wow. In my view an Olympic champion is four times more prestigious than a world champ - even in cycling. For the next four years Remco will be the Olympic time trial champion.

We can also look at other sports - basketball. The US dream team were a very big deal. Obviously the Olympics mattered to those who got paid countless millions in the NBA.

Why do you always feel the need to utter such extreme and obviously wrong viewpoints as if they're undeniable, indisputable truths?

For reference, this seems like a weird reaction to something that holds little to no value:

"
I kept hydrating as water came out of my eyes. Told others it was due to the heat. Hands and neck started to hurt from holding them in the air. Throat was getting a bit sore from using my voice. Then i just did another round.

Body is hurt now. Should be OK in a day or two. The soul is happy!

Personally, I value Sagan's 3 WCRRs in a row much more than GvA's Gold in Rio.

It is an interesting point... how people would value the specific, quite extensive, list of potential victories in cycling.

Mine would probably be something like:

1. TdF
2. Paris-Roubaix
3. Giro, LBL, Flanders, Il Lombardia, Worlds
4. MSR, Olympics
5. Vuelta
6. Paris-Nice, Dauphine
7. Fleche, Gent-Wevelgem
8. A mix of the other big one weekers and remaining bigger classics

BUT it is hard to gauge the Olympics... and I think that between 2 and 4 especially a lot of room for disagreement that is fair.

And it depends too how you rate history vs present.

For example if I were a decent cyclist Paris-Tours, Milano-Torino and Paris-Brussels would matter more than some 1.UWT races because of the history.
