Boonen let himself in "the luren leggen." :p

One moment of inattentiveness and the race was decided. One moment where he sat in the back, maybe hubris after those pulls on the cobbles and that little tap on Cancellara's shoulder. Stretched himself, overlooking the field like Caesar, seeing it was a good day...

And Spartacus was gone.

Yeah, it looked like he got too confident for a moment. Looking really cocky, then lost attention.

Eloqunetly put. I was wondering if his masturbatory accelerations would come back to haunt Boonen. Indeed, they have.

It's getting to the point where Riis is going have to tell him to back off so it doesn't get too ridiculous.

Didn't Indurain pull something like Cancellara is doing today to the peleton once in Tour stage in Belgium, and was it not the Hog, who rode his wheel, and took the win? The Hog, ha, ha, ha.

Who can pull an increasing gap on the peleton from a long, long way out?

1995, stage to Liege I think. Bruyneel didn't take the lead once.

Induráin attacked the entire Tour peloton on a small climb near Liége, then went for it on the flat after the climb.

The entire peloton chased. He still finished 50 secs ahead.

Bruyneel was in the break, and when Induráin went past on the flat, he jumped on the wheel, sucked it as hard as he could and sprinter past at the line after doing zero work.

The hog...the only guy to ever manage to stoop so amazingly low as to annoy Induráin.

I can't remember seeing Miguel angry any other time.

The kicker? The TT was the next day, so everyone was expecting to take it real easy.

I hope it's like politics: when they start to laugh at you, you know you're finished or getting near to getting uncovered. Fans can't be treated like idiots.

It's his passive aggressive nature. That's what made him tell Contador to not ride so aggressively last year's tour... ;)
