Ha, forgot about him! Great candidate for Saxo: "Fabian, no, is not in Baghdad right now. Everything is under control". Polishing up his CV right now.

I doubt they would have even closed the gap then. Spartacus has always had the ability to hold of larger groups.

I won't take anything away from Cancellara, but a group with Boonen, Pippo, Flecha, Hushovd, Hoste, Hammond etc is no ordinary group. They could and should have done more. Easy to say now, I guess too many of them were sh!t scared of spending energy.

Did I hear 'bombs over Baghdad"?

Anyway, it was a rather interesting documentary on Cancellara's training/recon ride fro the Classics season. Must be lonely to do all of this without a team

Oh do behave you bad losers

Basically it was Boonen against Cancellara, and losing 3 minutes over a 40 km TT is actually quite decent by Boonen.

Exactly. The farce is not as much that he beat them like this, but that they didn't even try to work together and instead settled for 2nd spot (except Boonen). I guess he beat them in their minds before the race was even started.

Ultimately, one of the dullest P-Rs in living memory....
There's winning and there's winning too easy.

The worst I've seen in 15 years of watching.

At least Cance is putting on a good show now, giving the appearance of suffering.
