Basically it was Boonen against Cancellara, and losing 3 minutes over a 40 km TT is actually quite decent by Boonen.

wasn't it more cance against leukemans for 10min and then cance against nobody?

I think Spartacus is close to pedaling squares, but it won't matter at this point. 3KM to go

Yes, it's something of an anti-climax. Although I have to say it's somewhat exiting in itself to see somebody solo to win. If only he had waited until 20km left or something.. At least it hasn't been plagued by crashes ofthe favourites, like last year.

I would not say he is spent. There's just no need to kill yourself when you have the time in hand to win.

He's already doing high fives with the team car.

My favorite classics :)

Sadly, there's a whole week of work before them :(

Brabantse Pijl is Wednesday with Gilbert, Freire, Gerrans, Kreder, Kirchen, Kroon and many others :)

New place on the calendar might make it more interesting than last year.

Bring on the Presidential Tour of Turkey. All those lovely holiday resorts in glorious HD.

Remember the last time we saw Riis slapping hands with a rider at the end of a long breakaway like this, during the Tour?

As an exception I find it kanda nice to see someone win who went for it with 50km out. Crazy. Impressive. And indeed, boring in one way. But one year that will stick in the mind for years to come nevertheless.

Might as well "waste" a good weather PR this way.... [starting my rain dance for 2011 early]

Totally agree.
