I would hazard a guess that Pedersen was also disappointed, and MVP knows he was beaten by a better rider.
Nothing wrong with being disappointed—it would be strange if they weren’t, honestly.

Pogacar was disappointed after MSR im sure; if these guys weren’t disappointed, they wouldn’t be as good. Theres a difference between being disappointed and happy with the result—one doesn’t necessarily exclude the other in these cases. It’s a nuanced distinction.

Pure cyclismo

People on rooftops, this is the holy grail what an epic RVV edition it was. As stacked a field as you can get, with pure racing over a long distance and close until the very end;it’s hard to top that. Awesome edition!

The Monuments have been stellar so far, and PR won’t be any worse I bet—on the contrary, it might even top them, considering there are more unknowns at least to what extent heading into Roubaix, beyond the usual PR lottery.
Of course I want Pog to smash all three remaining Monuments, but I’ll be perfectly satisfied with him taking LBL and Il Lombardia, as long as VDP doesn’t touch Roubaix.

Give me someone like Pedersen, a guy who actually deserves a Monument and doesn’t come up with excuses every time he gets outclassed.
