Even with a headwind it shouldn’t matter as when Tadej attacks only Jonas will even try to follow and will be too far in front of the rest of the podium contenders to retreat back to a group so they will both be equally fighting the wind if Tadej gets the same kind of initial gap as on Hautacam and in Dauphine.
Headwind on Ventoux is very difficult to stay away. I hope he is cautious and just follows Vingegaard.

I still think they are (mostly) doing the right thing. I haven’t detailed analysis. But at one point Vingo had to try to bridge groups on his own. I don’t think this was necessary but hindsight is 20-20 as splits can easily turn into minutes that never get closed in a stage. So someone there at that moment would have been mandatory by visma

I think visma is all over the place to mine opportunities. Even for Vingo to bridge and take minutes out of pogi under numerous circumstances. Looks at the time Yates took on del toro with wva up the road at the giro as example

They are but not in this type of stages. In these stages, they just want to win.

They where mostly lucky Pogi didn't decide to go for it. The group he was in plus Visma riders, nobody would catch them.

Pogi turned out to be the best Jonas helper. Shame on Visma riders and Grischa!

"There was a moment when Vingegaard tried to come back after the crash, while three Visma riders were up front. Tim and I, from that group, tried to calm things down so everyone could get back."

"I didn't know what to think. I blocked Matteo, so the three of them couldn't continue. Maybe I helped Jonas by doing that, because it was a pretty strange situation. If I were in Jonas's position, I wouldn't be the happiest at the dinner table tonight. Because I think he can still win the Tour"

Trine was right. His interview is probably what Vingegaard is suffering right now. He is mentaly fatigued, doesn't feel the support from his teammates like he felt 2 years ago.
Tough days for Jonas, specially when all this hard work doesn't prevent him from getting beaten by Pogacar quite easily (until this moment).

But yesterday in the race thread, they criticized Pogacar instead of the Visma riders, who were the ones attacking.

It was very obvious. Hatred is blinding.

It went wrong for them. Wellens had no intention of joining the breakaway. But Pogacar, seeing that they weren't stopping and that Visma wanted to capitalize on the accident to win the stage, told him to go with them.

Pogacar is too good, the only way to take him down is getting in his head. Every successful rider will have people talking bad things about him.

It has always been like that and while you are winning hard to judge that. That is Rogla was a team leader with the soft hand and under him others stars could shine, like Wout and Sepp. Pogi was inspired too, when watching Rogla on TV as a kid, at RBH Giulio, Florian ... are now basically GT starts already. When Rogla left Visma and this became a spreadsheet team, Sepp was the first one that faded and now the pressure is on Wout, to stop being Wout. There is only Jonas. But here the problem is on what happens if Jonas can't win the Tour any more?

Anyway, first world problems.

Yes indeed hatred is blinding.

UAE and Pogacar even keep a black list of riders they don't want to win or let go because they 'dont like them'... That's just absolutely bad *** crazy.
