The only positive thing was his sprint. A guy really on the limit can't gain 2 seconds like that.
That appeared to be the lightest headwind we've seen in....forever. They had crowds lining both sides of the road as well. The last 2 km did have some visible wind but not like expected based on watching flags/banners on the route. What are you going on about? Have a little more respect for Vingo. These guys totaled the climbing record into a head wind and pogi did most of it seated
Cause Jonas was good today. He clearly tried to drop Jonas and failed to do so.
yes and also in hautacam he did not look good, both in terms of his pedalling (visually) and his power numbers. If we compare to both tour 24 and dauphine 25 he did not look as good. And he arrived at the finish with his teeths outHe rode this bike on Hautacam
The only moment when he was on the limit was when he closed the first attack. You can see it in his face. The only positive thing was his sprint. A guy really on the limit can't gain 2 seconds like that.
A big if but if he is dropped, he will lose not minutesHe isn't gonna take that on a single climb.
But if Vingegaard has Campenaerts and, say, Benoot up front and he is able to drop Pogacar on Madeleine (a big if, I agree), Pogacar may lose A LOT of time.
But he has not shown to have a 4-minute differencial over Pogacar.Vingegaard will go crazy on Madeleine. I'm pretty sure of that
The presumption that Jonas can go hard enough to drop Pogacar and then add a bunch of time presumes Tadej can't ride a bike. If he has an illness or bonks, perhaps. He will need his team to be more present for 18, 19 and 21 in a bigger way, if possible. He isn't gonna take that on a single climb.

Yeah he looked like *** on Hautacam even if he was destroying everyone.yes and also in hautacam he did not look good, both in terms of his pedalling (visually) and his power numbers. But his recovery is significantly higher than the others and closing the other attacks was super easy.
Tour was over on Hautacam. Nothing can change thatThe numbers were quite big. The best performance of Vinge this year.
One thing to know - this was a unipuerto.
Vinge also did high numbers in the TT - a fresh effort.
Relax guys, last week we were panicking after the crash and we saw what happened.
2 days from now you won't remember your worries from today.
He hasn't droppe him in 2 years. He isn't gonna take that on a single climb.

It's not disrespectful, it was simply the truth, and it won them two Tours. It wasn't last year anymore of course. But they still need to motivate their rider. If a DS yelling in the radio "you're better than him, come on!" is already insulting, yeah, then everything's an insult.A single instant? These are matters of opinion and perceptions. But Visma claiming Pogacar could not hold Vingegaard on long, hard climbs at threshold was disrepectful IMO. Last year Grischa Niermann was saying this on the race radio on PdB to motivate his rider until Pogi threw it back in their faces on the road. That stage was everything Visma were telling us Vingegaard was better at: Hot and hard and had better recovery. And Pogacar still took over a minute that day.
He hasn't droppe him in 2 years.
Pogacar just has to follow his wheel.
We're not talking about a few days, it's a trend.
And when someone has been stronger in a Tour for two weeks, that trend usually doesn't change unless there's an illness or an accident. It's very rare to see someone who hasn't dropped another rider suddenly do so on the last day. And we're talking about two years.
I think it's a lot of overanalyzing at the moment. The fact is Pogi easily responded to all of Jonas' attacks, after Jonas was able to recover a bit while he was behind Benoot and Campanearts. Pogi is just fine. He has a 4 minute lead on Jonas. He just has to follow Jonas' wheel. The numbers were quite big. The best performance of Vinge this year.

I've said it before. Pogacar's worst day in GT is usually the day after the rest day.Agreed, so far he is performing less good than in 2024 🤔
Maybe he is a bit under cooked so he can do Vuelta and WC fresher ?
He is great actually. Just smashed the Ventoux record. And winning the Tour by over 4 minutesAgreed, so far he is performing less good than in 2024 🤔

I mean he did break the record. Not significant for this race but hard to talk about him being bad when he clearly isn'tThe only positive thing was his sprint. A guy really on the limit can't gain 2 seconds like that.
way below Pdb and Isola, and those climbs were in super hard mountain stages, not an unipuerto
