Can I say MVP is running away from Pogacar? He is not riding in Kigali. In Pogacar's terrain, MVP doesn't even show up.
Is that jersey of Pogs a bit of a joke or actually serious…
Gianetti wanted Pogacar to do the Vuelta but Pog refused.I hope Jonas wins 5+ stages and overall with 10 min. So that it stops with that Pogacar nonsense how he is killing cycling. I like Almeida and if he wins i will be happy to but this co-leading with Ayuso bothers me so much i would like to see UAE managment getting lecture from Visma again.
You can say it, of course you can. I would suggest that in the context of a race on a route on which van der Poel would have no ambitions it is rather meaningless though. If Pogacar doesn't show up for some cyclocross, is it valid to say that he is running away from van der Poel. Can I say MVP is running away from Pogacar? He is not riding in Kigali. No, it's a guy who wins a championship. He is one of the people in as much as he is a human: he rides for, and is selected by, the team that employ him.A champion is one of the people, selected by the people, to ride for the people.
I find it more significant that he didn't return to Strade Bianche. Can I say MVP is running away from Pogacar? He is not riding in Kigali. In Pogacar's terrain, MVP doesn't even show up.
In Slovenia, being such a weak team, the roles should be clearer. "All balls to Jordan".
It has to be joke jersey, do not disturb?! Pogacar must be trolling a bit here…please tell me that’s right
I don't think anyone knows...It has to be joke jersey, do not disturb?! Pogacar must be trolling a bit here…please tell me that’s right
I like to think there must be an element of a joke/trolling to it.I don't think anyone knows...
IMHO he is not joking. Pogacar is very polite and he probably doesn't say no to anyone who comes to take a photo with him. I think he is tired.
I don't know. He looks different but we will see how good he is in 4 weeks. I expect total dominance.I like to think there must be an element of a joke/trolling to it.
I could see someone not wanting photos taken of them all the time, but that goes for any sportsperson/celebrity. It goes with being rich and famous. But some people have real problems, it’s frankly pathetic without an element of a joke to it.
It’d also be stupid as surely it just attracts attention and comments about him?
I don’t think it will affect his racing at the moment.I don't know. He looks different but we will see how good he is in 4 weeks. I expect total dominance.
I was trying to work out if it's Eddy Dunbar. He's not really in the video enough to tell! I'm sure Bling posted a video on Instagram just before the Tour of himself cycling with Eddy Dunbar and Pog.Who's the Jayco rider? That's not Mathews.
Pogacar only has two races left in the rainbow jersey![]()
That's not true. Not all athletes have fans in their training sessions, like cyclists have fans standing behind them and filming them. In sports like football or basketball, fans don't interfere with their training sessions.I like to think there must be an element of a joke/trolling to it.

I've half convinced myself it's the other way round - Pog wanted to go, but Gianetti and Maxtin wanted an olive branch for Ayuso so they told Pog he couldn't go after all. That's why he was so miserable for the last week of the Tour and why he's mainly been wearing non-UAE kit ever since. I recognise this is probably nonsense, I have a very overactive imagination.Gianetti wanted Pogacar to do the Vuelta but Pog refused.
That's why he started all the theatrics about retirement.
Interesting point, I suppose that’s true for some sports and not others. That's not true. Not all athletes have fans in their training sessions, like cyclists have fans standing behind them and filming them. In sports like football or basketball, fans don't interfere with their training sessions.
There are videos on YouTube and social media of fans filming Pogacar from behind on the road. In other sports, there's no such intrusion.
Maybe not, but I'm fairly sure they both have private security/ bodyguards and travel in chauffeur driver cars. It's not quite the same as being a pro cyclist where your job means you have to cycle round public roads almost completely unprotected.Interesting point, I suppose that’s true for some sports and not others.
Still think it’s pathetic, Pogacar is only famous in a minority sports star, it’s not like you see Cristiano Ronaldo or Tom cruise walking round wearing a ‘do not disturb jersey’
Yes another good point. There might be videos on YouTube of Pog being taken by random people driving, but is he really that often mobbed or distracted by fans doing that ? I mean I am sure UAE could afford to have him 100% protected all the time from stuff like that if it were deemed necessary.Maybe not, but I'm fairly sure they both have private security/ bodyguards and travel in chauffeur driver cars. It's not quite the same as being a pro cyclist where your job means you have to cycle round public roads almost completely unprotected.
I also think the jersey is quite funny. I'm enjoying this version of Pog to be honest...although I hope that he's actually okay and just a bit over it all, rather than suffering from any kind of serious burnout/ depression.
It has a huge amount of cumulative vertical metres but with the vast majority of the climbing being 1km efforts on cobbles it would be a race that potentially MVDP could still podium. You can say it, of course you can. He says it's too tough, but he would have finished second.
It's just as tough as for Pogacar to win San Remo or Roubaix, but he risks losing.
