Peak Roglic is way over. He will not be a significant factor at World's unless he works fully for Pog (which he will not).
The problem is that Slovenia has nothing this year, so a 50-yearRoglic would be the best domestique
They have Novak, Roglic and? Tratnik just got married and isn't going, but even if he did, this year he's been horrible this year.
We'll forgive him after what he did last year.

Maybe Omrzel, i don't know how strong is he on flat but he showed really good performance on tour of Slovenia (4th). Govekar and Mezgec should also be good for first 100km.

The problem is Kigali is very difficult. The peloton will be in pieces after 150 km

That is why i think Roglic in breakaway should be good option for Pogacar. Belgium, Holland, USA, Denmark, Italy and Spain have all good second options even if their captains are not in breakaway.

Pogacar made a wise decision by running away from Spain.
The Dane would have smashed him.
Is this a joke?

Obvious ragebait but yeah Pogi easily dealt with "best climbing performance" Vingegaard.

Just like he was going to destroy him in the Tour
Rather, Vingegaard should be thankful that without Pogacar, he can save his season by winning a GT.

In that route, Pogacar could have won the Vuelta with the final sprints.
In the Vuelta he was more favorite than Vingegaard than in the Tour.

This Vuelta is tailormade for Pogacar. There is no chance against him in this route.

Is he back in Monaco doing real training? 3 weeks until his first race after the Tour. This is when he needs to build some classics shape

It's Vingegaard who's avoiding the World Cup against Pogacar

I've seen some photos of Pogacar training, once again wearing a non-UAE white jersey, but riding a regular bike.

He doesn't seem to take the World Championship time trial very seriously.

I was actually surprised by this stat.
The Vuelta this year with the 'soft' route still has more Total Elevation gain and more Elevation / Per Km than the Giro and the Tour.
Understandably Pog skipped it because he would have finished it too exhausted for World's.

Vertical meters are not everything.
Tour had 3 or 4 stages for GC riders very hectic and very stressful (stages 2, 4, 6, 7) despite few elevation. This is something the Vuelta doesn't have.

The Tour is the Tour. If you have 21 flat stages they would still race like maniacs.
My point is that the Vuelta is hard.
Pogacar will not double a TDF + Vuelta with a classics campaign before that.
