He´s performed well in Autumn, but in Emilia, which isn't the longest-distance race.
Roglic often struggles when the race is so long.

The World Championships are too hard for Roglic. 270km and elevation gain. If he hasn't won Lombardia, I'd give him less chances at a World Championships where there's more chaos.

But this shouldn't even be discussed sharing a national team with Pogacar.
It's like Van Aert. He would be a leader in most national teams, but with Remco, he's no longer leader.
In Slovenia, being such a weak team, the roles should be clearer. "All balls to Jordan".
Could be true but..today is another example of peaks and valleys.. Arnaud De Lie is rolling good enough that any given one day race could go his way, he is part of the race were he has been missing for more than a year.. Wout, Remco both great for sure, but in one day stuff have to at least think about DeLie

So what would you say to him? If you don't ride for Pogi then you are not riding for Slovenian team? So who do they take instead of him? They trully don't have nobody else and with Roglic they have second option.

WVA has demonstrated he can actually support a team leader. I am struggling to think of an instance with Roglic. Last year at Worlds doesn't count at all.

That doesn't sound very patriotic. There will be few to no instances where his trade team will want him leading a race going forward. Maybe Tour of Suisse
Still don't get what difference does it make for Slovenian team Roglic being allowed there racing as a freelancer or racing without him ? If he makes good result on his own then great. He was there when they won first gold. He could also just finish his season just like Wout. I still think he is Top 10 candidate at this route. So if gets in right break that would be huge for Novak and Pogacar.

Every time I see the easy route of theVuelta, I think Pogacar would have won easily.
On a course like that, Pogacar is a clear favorite over Vingegaard.

And the startlist is very weak. There are no strong teams or riders to breakaways in mountain finish stages.
It will be very easy to control the stages to win. Vingegaard can win seven stages if he wants.

Next year there will be a very tough route and Pogacar will go. LOL.

This Vuelta is tailormade for vintage Valverde.

Pogacar is tired after an all-out classics campaign and 3 weeks of racing against Visma. He doesn't want another 3 weeks away and prefers WC + Lombardy double attempt.

I hope Jonas wins 5+ stages and overall with 10 min. So that it stops with that Pogacar nonsense how he is killing cycling. I like Almeida and if he wins i will be happy to but this co-leading with Ayuso bothers me so much i would like to see UAE managment getting lecture from Visma again.
