Yeah, let's talk about cycling.
I'm very interested to know where will Pogacar attack in Kigali. The 5km climb is so perfect for him but it's very far.
Maybe it's the best way to select the group.
It won't be like last year, when they were surprised; this year they'll be more attentive.
But it's not in their best interest to arrive 50 km from the finish with Belgium and other countries organized.

None of those who are actually going.
Del Toro and Narváez are fast; if they arrive in a group, they have a chance to win.

Sivakov is very slow; it was his only chance of a medal. Aside from being his friend, others are teammates.
They can't keep up with Teddy. We are talking about a rider with a FTP of 7 w/kg. 0.3-0.4 higher than the vast majority of WT riders

Nice interview with Sporza.

"To challenge Remco is the goal."

He has been training, more than usual, with his TT bike

I'm glad he made this decision.

Many cyclists have declined to go to Rwanda because the route doesn't suit them.
Not all routes are suitable for Pogacar either: Glasgow, San Remo, or Paris-Roubaix. If only everyone thought the same, MVDP would ride those races alone. This World Championship could be very had for MVDP, but he could make an effort at Strade Bianche. Van Aert should be in Rwanda competing in the time trial and road race. Vingegaard...

It will be very difficult to beat Remco, but I'm glad he's trying.
It's disappointing that neither Roglic nor Ayuso are doing it . They were the other cyclists I gave some chance of winning a medal.

I think location factor (Rwanda, vaccinations, risk of infections) also contributed to the absence of guys like Vans and Vingo. As for Pogacar, it's great that he's trying all those kinds of races but this particular TT is probably his best chance to beat Remco and get gold. On more "classical" WC TT routes it's much harder.

Van der Poel did say it was for the route.
Both Vans went to Australia, a longer trip. Vingegaard didn't even go to Glasgow or Zurich. He lives in Switzerland for part of the year since 2023.

So much more fun to see 1 person dominate everyone instead of a competition…
I don't care, someone likes that and someone prefer something else, normal I think. I just want to see good performances, doesnt matter to me from who. If it's from MvdP, I love that stuff too.

After getting used to a Bugatti, going back to bmw... sorry, but to be honest, it doesn't excite me in the slightest. In that sense, you could say Pogacar even ruined cycling for me with some help from MvdP in recent times. Thanks alot.

Mate, was Superbagneres in the Tour exciting (Pogacar was wheelsucking)
Mont Ventoux (wheelsucking)
Col de la Loze (wheelsucking)
La Plagne (couldn't beat Arensman)
Mont Martre (dropped like a bag of potatoes by Van Aert)
Stop treating Pogacar like a demigod. When he's tired he also can't produce shows. But because he only races 45-50 races a year we don't get to see him tired.

Despite being tired, in Arensman's second victory, Pogacar is the one leading the group of favorites.
Yesterday, Vingegaard was constantly wheel sucking Riccitello

In Paris, we saw the other big difference. Vingegaard forgot about the stage. Pogacar wanted to compete in it.
When he lost the Tour, he also made moves on the Champs-Élysées.

No, they're not the same in terms of spectacle.

I'm not comparing anyone to Pogacar. Why do you put Vingegaard in the conversation?
I'm just saying Pogacar is human and we stay quiet when he loses and doesn't perform? Why?
