Spectators attack Pogacar on European Championships cycling: pedaling movement and stickers on back

"On TV footage, it can be seen how two men try to distract Pogačar by scaring him. One of them makes a stepping movement with his knee, but he keeps his lower leg withdrawn. Pogačar did not seem to be hindered by it.
In the crowds on the short and steep Val d’Enfer climb, there were also many fans who touched Pogačar. In addition, stickers or flyers were stuck on his back. Other spectators then put their pants down again the moment Pogi passed by"

Next week, he will destroy the field again
There are people on social media convinced that he will give him, and that he should give him, a Monument to Del Toro.
Del Toro doesn't need a victory, and he hasn'r made an enormous sacrifice that merits a that gift.
Not even Kuss, who was a domestique for years, should have received a Vuelta.

I don't understand how they can think he's going to give away a historic record.

Those people probably don't want Pogi to get the record

Tired of watching the same s**t happen at every race. And not only that, the whole f*****g team is one a different level.

I miss a good journalist with spy skills to uncover the cheat codes of this guys team.

People love to be lied to. Again. And again.
Remco winning ITT and Pogi RR.

Wrong thread but just one question, if there is no Pog, Remco wins ECITT, ECRR, WCITT and WCRR in two weeks, every time with huge gap even with multiple mechanicals. Also with breaks 30km+. It's that more believable for you? And he is not part of UAE.. how do you explain that?

Without a doubt but GdL is more to punchy climbers.

Remco did well on the decisive climb last year. This year he's better than last year but probably his mass is larger now (so less fitting for long climbs). Still, I'm expecting him to be better than during last Lombardy but there are a few climbers that maybe can finish with him (unless he drops them on flattish terrain).

GdL is another world of climbing. I still expect him to be 2nd though.

When Seixas will win by a landslide, those chauvinists won't do that to him. In fact, they have been wanting to have a Hinault to dominate like that.
They aren't bothered by Marchand and his crushing dominance

You need a thick book to cover his palmares. Not even talking about the way he wins.
He could have attacked later yesterday, but he decided to drop another long range attack. Probably Remco's pace was too boring.

It's normal to support your national riders. This doesn't bother me. What annoys me is not having the slightest rational thinking about reality.
I don't have any problem to say Almeida wasn't good enough to beat Vingegaard and he is not on his level (like some portuguese commentators said). Supporting a rider is one thing, being a fanatic is another.

Pogacar is the best cyclist of his generation, perhaps even the greatest of all time (GOAT). He only has two monuments race left to win: the PR and the MSR. And yes, of course, Vuelta.

If he wins the GdL next week, as is highly likely, he will set a record as the first rider to win the GdL five times in a row.

Next year, will Pogacar focus on the MSR and PR? If he wins the MSR, and then wins the GdL for the sixth time, a new record will be broken. And winning the MSR and GdL in the same year is considered something of a "holy grail" in Italian cycling (according to Wikipedia).

Watching Pogacar win continuously might be boring for some. But watching him continue to break records after records should also be exciting.

Just like in the world of tennis, Djokovic continues to break record after record until age slows him down and younger players emerge who are just as skilled but more power and endurance because due to their youth.

So, wouldn't it be better to just enjoy it while Pogacar is at his peak and continuing to make history?
