If he dont crash or get covid this will be the best cycling moment in modern history it already is from a pure performance perspective for sure!! When was anyone this level with the giro-tour double its insane. Gotte be the best cycling performance in pure performance already even if he gets unlucky.

Predicting this was pretty easy. I've been saying for 8 months now the Giro wouldn't affect him much and been saying for 3 months now no way in hell Vingegaard gonna be in top shape.

But then people just call me a salty hater when I speak truthfully. That too is expected. First there was Jesus, then Jose, now there is me.

I was mostly refering hardness of prediction to a minor ass-kicking that Pogacar experienced on Lioran. If you were sincerely convinced today's stage would end up with putting 30+" into Vinegaard this morning, I take my hat off to your prediction ability.

But neglecting the wrist I just find that so hillarious if thats not telling yourself things just cause you wanne hear it and removing the part he had a fractured wrist is so funny never said you did at all I know you didnt but you get what I mean But your right coach influence alot ofc.

Starting with the wrist injury affected his recovery more so than his fresh climbing power. Even last year he was almost as strong as jonas if not better. But his bones not properly healed for the start of the tour meant he had to blow at some stage. In the end the tt and col de la loze catch him badly. But this year with no injury to battle and more importantly a visma level coach made the difference

Can't wait for Johan Bruynell to tell me how UAE have no clue about tactics and that Pogacar shouldn't be doing any races at close to 100% before le Tour.

to be fair, Bruynell called stage 11 a bonk and has consistently said Pogi will win the tour since then. They scoffed at the bookies and put some money on it.

And absolute brawn can make any tactic look genius.

I do however strongly disagree with Bruyneel on only focusing on the tour. It would be damn boring if he was Pogi's manager in that regard.

Pogacar is way to good to focus on the tour alone 100% agree would be a disservice not only to him but the entire history of cycling.

You missed out. Look at some of the more recent posts by vpwe and you will see him make a serious post that gather a lot of laugh reacts and gets quoted with doubtful and derogatory comments. Mou got this sort of thing X100 but he fought back. Unfortunately, he was not very good at the fighting and he was frequently banned and deleted. Eventually was completely deleted.

Mou came in during the very early season and 'warned' the board hell was on it's way. Pogi had a new trainer. And frequently threw staff and teammates under the bus with comments. Even hinting to us at that time 8+w/kg and several other things that almost always turned out to be true.

Tomorrow is gonna be tougher. Curious to see if anything major happens before the final climb. 4 cat 1 climbs before the final, which is HC. The penultimate climb could be where Visma may ride a high tempo, trying to soften things up and make everyone work. It’s a steady grind from 95, 96km to the base of the Agnes, then it’s a 10km at 8.2 km. After that it’s a short descent followed by a kicker in Port de Lers, followed by a long descent and flat to the base of Plateau de Baille. It’s quite a ways from the Agnes to the finish, so I am not sure we’ll see anyone in the GC really go for it there.

Tadej and UAE could try something similar to what we saw today. Maybe another Yates burst, then go for it with 4, 5km out.

I dont see jumbo managing to set a tempo higher than what UAE have done for a big amount of time atleast and if they gonne do it they should imo start very early and spice it up and hope for things to happen.

Let's not get carried away now; fourty-eight hours ago, Jonas was the better rider on the day, he was scary good. Vingegaard is not done. Not yet. But Tadej rode smart today, used his team, and that's bad news for Vingo.

Remco impressed me, by the way. He's breathing down Jonas' neck now. Tomorrow's stage will see some action, it's July 14, a break and a French winner would be sweet. Followed by a remake of '07 with Teddy as Bertie, the perfect day...

Tadej Pogacar could find himself with a lead of over two and a half minutes on rest day number two. That's a great place to be. Two minutes is no peanuts .
