pog si simply burning with power, its crazy, how mismanaged he was in last 5 years.he probably feels he started to race pro yesterday.
Mismanaged is kinda harsh? He was coached to win the 2020 tour on debut, being just 21 yo. Totally dominated in 2021. Felt like he could expand in 2022 and did great, but got ambushed in the tour by much improved vingegard/ visma. Started even better in 2023, but had a bad fall in LBL and could not prepare accordingly. Still did good.
There has been improvement every year and other teams get their tactics sometimes wrong to. We are seeing the results of 2 year of improvement in this tour, not just the past 6 months.
I agree that the 24 version is the best Pog we have seen, but he was the best long before then.

I know how he feels. But to the comment above, I don't think Froome is a hater. He is just a Vingegaard fan and wants his guy to prevail. But alas it is looking like the combined effects of his massive April crash and a resurgent Pogacar are too much for Vingo.

About Mou, I was encouraged by his predictions, but felt they were too good to be true. There are still three huge stages left but as of today, Mou's predictions look spot on - yes the best Pogacar we have seen.

The gaps to the rest outside the podium is insane. Two minutes into everyone on a stage like this. It’s going to get even bigger too
Two separate issues.

To address the second issue first, none of the riders outside of the podium in the top 10 had any reason to chase Pogacar's attack on Noyer unless they believed the could drop their rivals for the minor places. Trek with Ciccone tried and Gee and IPT followed, but didn't get very far, before Pogi's attack. The strongest riders in places 4-10 are teammates of the riders in the podium chase (Landa, Almeida, and Yates) and were never going to put any effort into a chase. Ciccone tried, as I mentioned, and I suppose Gall and Buitrago aren't good enough, though I think Gall can gain time on a bigger, more difficult climb. Gee will be doing his best to hang on and then hope to gain positions if possible in the ITT.

As to the first, the gaps to 4th and beyond are crazy. But not that much different from last year (2023 GC after stage 17)

Yep. By comparison, in 2011 10th place in Paris was +10'43". As of today with 4 stages to go 10th is +18' and 4th is Pogi's teammate at nearly 13 minutes. Strong riding by Almeida by the way. UAE have definitely turned the tabes on Visma.

He spent (until stage 14) a lot of time saying Visma guys have a plan and that they would destroy stage 15
To be fair it was Visma saying this. Froome, as a Vingo fan, is just repeating the arrogant disrespectful nonsense we have heard from Richard Plugge since 2022. The race highlights on stage 15 picked this up on the radio comms to Vingegaard before he attacked on PdB. I am happy to see that team eating some humble pie as of today. I just hope we don't get a nasty surprise on stage 19.

Froome says this even before Visma stated that (of course he was guessing).

What kind of prediction is this? A 24 year old rider gets better with one more year of practice (not to mention huge $$$ investment in every marginal gain and training technique possible), big surprise.

It's more like he was on spot with the numbers apparently. And also did say stuff Pogacar confirmed about training if I understand correctly those who have quoted and wittnessed him. I mean that's the only reason I think that mou became a thing on the internet outside of this forum. Enough so that Pogi was asked a question about him and answered knowledgeable.

Disagree. Visma (Richard Plugge) were saying this kind of thing since the last two years. Where do you think the accepted wisdom that Vingegaard is better on longer, harder climbs first came from? Froome as a Vingo fan was just repeating the team PR.

What Visma (Plugge?) said on the radio on PdB (“we believe he will have problems”) they have said before this Tour. I am just glad Pogi made Visma eat humble pie. But their fans here also have to eat the same pie.
