So some people here insulting other members for his reasoning. He said "it didn't help". That means that if She was selected He would go! otherwise why would you say it. LOL. That is true love.

What are the chances of getting a gold in women road race at the Olympics? LOL. Oh dear.

Vuelta would indeed be an interesting story. Lets say Pogi does it and wins it. After all the talk about goats and making history would be over, this would in reality likely have several negative consequences. For one it would likely severely devaluate GT racing as a whole. But then again times are changing and who knows on how pro cycling of tomorrow will look like. And as for devaluating, maybe only from the sports side of thing, not necessarily from the money side of things. As true, the mob might like it so much.

No, read again, this is what you are saying, repeating nonsense. I never said such thing. On top of that Messi is an Olympic gold medallist.

P.S. Unless you are referring to other post and not the quoted one. Theoretical question if Pogi would be prepared to trade an abundance of titles from a race won in pro cycling for an Olympic gold medal. In terms of regretting he didn't went for it. In my opinion yes, he will regret it. But here i agree that this is my take on it. Future Pogi is yet to come and if not sooner lets see in four years time, on what his attitude towards Olympics will be.
The fact that absolutely nobody knows or cares about which proves the point of those you are trying to mock out of their (correct) assessment about the value of OG title in cycling.

@bNator

Messi seem to care enough to go and win it and he is GOAT too. So please, cut with the BS, on how Pogi is in the right here, ditching Olympics, due to people now arguing Olympic medal in cycling has no real value. Only due to Pogi not participating.
Who are you to say he is right or wrong anyway? It's his decision, you should accept it. I think he did enough to earn @CyclistAbi's blessing.. And if you think OG have greater value than what Pog has been winning this year, then maybe you just don't understand cycling.

Now we’ve entered the “pogi racing a GT will severely devalue consequences “ era.

The next 6 years are going to destroy cycling

From sports side of things possibly, financially they will be good. Like F1, from sports side of thing a turd, financially great. Hopefully not, as here other factors are at play too, it can't be made into F1, due to machines not being the focal point of the sport. We'll see.

I was listening to G's podcast this morning and I was pretty surprised by what Pog said to him about the Vuelta. It makes absolutely 0 sense to not go to the race because Ayuso would not like that. What are UAE thinking. They should just gather everybody and remind them who Pog is and what he has done and allow any dissenting voices to quit the team before being fired.

I see, now it's about me. Well, i will reserve the right to express my opinion, on saying something is right or wrong.

If you are interested in debating, or understanding, first read.

Pog decided he prefers some rest over the OG after winning a double and you are claiming it’s wrong decision. Can you really not see the irony here? You know better than him if he’s tired or not or if his reasons make sense to him or not?

I don’t think anyone can claim Pog is not ambitious enough. He’s the guy with greatest palmares in current generation of riders and if he feels OG are not that important to him, then that’s what it is…
